Robert Spencer, Jihad Watch, reports that Nidal Hassan was trained as an Osteopathic physician, but "elected to become a psychiatrist". He is even listed as a participant in Obama's transition team and the Homeland Administration Policy Institute that prepared advice for the new administration. According to the Virginia Health Practitioners website, Dr. Hassan is Board Certified in Osteopathy and Podiatry;then his resume further states "Self-Designated Practice Areas: Psychiatry." Now, I have a background as a Health Practitioner, so I know a little about the stringent requirements that are required to become a "specialist," especially the field of Psychiatry, since the Psychiatrist is admitted to very sensitive areas of the patient's intimate life. Therefore, to become Board Certified, requires mentoring from a senior Psychiatrist, to eliminate the possibility that a candidate "with unresolved psychiatric issues" might enter the field.

Apparently he did study Psychiatry at Walter Reed, where he made some very "Jihadist statements", while he was on "Grand Rounds". Now, Walter Reed is in lockdown, because they are concerned that his "aberrant" behavior was not pointed out to authorities and that the massacre could have been prevented, according to DANIEL ZWERDLING (NPR), who said "Earlier today, I spoke to a psychiatrist who worked very closely with Hasan and knows him very well. And he said, you know, from the beginning -and Hasan was there for four years - the medical staff was very worried about this guy. He said the first thing is he's cold, unfriendly. At least that's how he came off. He did not do a good job as a psychiatrist in training, was repeatedly warned, you better shape up, or, you know, you're going to be in trouble. Did badly in his classes, seemed disinterested. But second of all - and this is, perhaps, you know, more relevant. The psychiatrist says that he was very proud and upfront about being Muslim. And psychiatrist hastened to say, and nobody minded that. But he seemed almost belligerent about being Muslim, and he gave a lecture one day that really freaked a lot of doctors out...They have grand rounds, right? They, you know, dozens of medical staff come into an auditorium, and somebody stands at the podium at the front and gives a lecture about some academic issue, you know, what drugs to prescribe for what condition. But instead of that, he - Hasan apparently gave a long lecture on the Koran and talked about how if you don't believe, you are condemned to hell. Your head is cut off. You're set on fire. Burning oil is burned down your throat." Nobody ringing a loud bell is probably due to Political Correctness.

I don't want to sideline the other issues, specifically, that Hasan may have been a part of a "terror cell," which, according to Dr. Walid Phares, has been growing over the past 8 months, and is part of the "evolution of what we call homegrown radicalization". Dr. Phares doesn't underestimate the psychological component involved in the Ft. Hood massacre, but also believes that there is a significant ideological component (as substantiated above). Reports have come in stating that Dr. Hasan believed in beheading for infidels; additionally his victims were white, and he killed the women first (racist and misogynist.)

Gawker also found a posting called "Martyrdom in Islam vs suicide Bombing" by Nidal Hasan, so it may turn out that the ideological component was significant. There have been reports that he did not list any "religious preference," but a security video from a 7/11 that he visited the morning of the massacre shows him in full Muslim attire, and the day before, he handed out Korans.

Of course, our "Taqqiya-in-Chief" hardly batted an eyelash when he was to announce the massacre. Instead, he spent 3 minutes "yukking it up" and giving a "shout out" to his "homies" before making the official announcement, according to rumor mill. Today, during his Saturday morning broadcast, he encouraged people to be patient, as if he hasn't already been briefed about the real character of this jihadist. Maybe he means be patient until the MSM covers up the true story.This morning, he cautioned "Don't jump to conclusions", but we all know what he did in the Cambridge Police-Gates situation. The difference is that in the in the Ft Hood situation, we do have the facts, but he's not willing to admit the obvious. Guess he's not forgotten in Muslim roots.

President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush visited the injured from the Ft Hood massacre, while Barry and Michelle went off to Camp David. Apparently, Obama's advisers have prompted him to attend a memorial service next week.

GWB & Laura wanted no fuss, no photo-ops and just a little time to comfort the families. Is it time for Americans to wake up to see that the Emperor has no heart?
