75The Haunted Birdcage Theater In Tombstone Arizona
Paranormal Journeys with Jeff Belanger - Tombstone, Arizona
Birdcage Theater
Birdcage Theater , Tombstone Arizona
The Bird Cage Theater was opened in 1881 and it was closed just a few years later in 1889. While it was open it was truly one of the wildest places in the west. There were thirteen cages that hung from the ceiling and this is where ladies of the evening plied their trade. Believe it or not but one of the longest Poker Games ever in history was played in the basement gaming area. It lasted for eight years and four months. Can you even imagine a poker game lasting that long.
People report that at night you can hear the sounds of music, laughter, yelling, and talking coming from the Bird Cage Theater. Quite a tale of residual haunting if there ever was one. And remember that people like Batt Matterson , Doc Holiday and others once walked the floor inside of the Bird Cage Theater. And the ghost of Doc Holiday himself has been seen many times over the years walking across the stage inside the Bird Cage Theater.

DOC WAS THE KILLER!
Big Nose Kates Saloon , Tombstone Arizona
The girlfriend of Doc Holiday, Big Nosed Kate whos real name was Mary Katherine Harmony owned the Saloon in the 1880's. And way back when Big Nose Kates Saloon was the Grand Hotel and many famous people like Wyatt Earp, his brother Virgil Earp, Doc Holiday and the Clantons and the Mclaurys once stayed here.
So yes the location is very haunted. Ike Clanton has been seen here by many people and they say he just walks in the front door and then vanishes. There was once a live in Janitor here named, The Swamper who mined for silver under his room in the basement of the building when it was the Grand Hotel. Many people over the years report sounds of digging and a rough looking old man who orders them from the basement areaa. It is of course the ghost of The Swamper.
Objects have been seen to float through the air inside the building and orbs and very strange streaks of light are seen in the building often. Many people claim to have seen Big Nose Kate herself looking out the windows or standing in front of the building at night.
The Streets Of Tombstone Arizona
Why is Tombstone so haunted?
Tombstone Arizona was founded in 1877 by a prospector in the area named Ed Schieffelin who did in fact find silver there. And it was not long until the word spread about the silver strike and people poured into the area.
By the mid 1880's the town of tombstone population was at almost 8000 people. The most famous event in Tombstone's history was the shoot out at the OK Corral. Many people claim to see the ghost of Virgil Earp in this area. But the streets of Tombstone Arizona are simply filled with ghosts and ghost stories.

I'm in a paranormal group and we went to Jerome to the Conner Hotel and had some activity. My group has been to Brisbee, but that was before I joined. They had the most activity from there, so far, I believe.
