Key West is one of the most unique places in the USA. Its 150 miles from Miami and only 90 miles from Cuba. Upon your first look Key West looks like the perfect tourist destination which it is but its also one of the most haunted places in the USA. And Key West has some of the highest Paranormal Activity of any place on earth. And some of the most unique spirits anywhere.

There's Robert the Doll said to be cursed or possessed by voodoo. Robert is the original Chucky and if you ask me he's just plain creepy. There are many tales about the doll but they generaly all agree that the doll was known to torment the little boy who owned it. After the boy was grown he said he would find the doll rocking its self in the old family home in a rocking chair. Well the man passed away and eventually the creepy doll found its way to Key West's Martello Museum where people still claim to hear the doll laughing and many have claimed to see it move.

Key West has one of the most famous Ghosts of anywhere in the world. And that is Ernest Hemingway. Yes the ghost of  Hemingway is said to have been haunting Key West ever since his suicide in July of 1961. He is often seen at his home in Key West and also at Sloppy Joe's Bar in Key West. He has been known to talk to people at Sloppy Joe's. He is also seen walking out the front door at Sloppy Joe's.  

Located in a large old house on Duval Street in Key West the Hardrock Cafe is home to the ghost of Robert Curry. The house was built by William Curry who was Florida's first millionaire to be a wedding gift for his son Robert. Robert was a very sick man all his life but late in life he found himself in control of the Curry Family Fortune and it was not long until all the money was gone and Robert was broke. Robert Curry shot himself in a bathroom on the second floor of the house taking his own life.

The house is now the Hardrock Cafe but Robert Curry doesn’t seem to know that. Many people including Cafe staff and tourists have seen him walking around the house and then he vanishes. People in the Cafe late at night also say they hear a man walking on the second floor when no one is up there. Furniture is also sometimes moved around when the cafe is closed.

Yellow Fever once killed as many as 15 people a day at the fort. Over the years thousands of people died in the fort. Soldiers are seen to line up in formation and whistles and gunshots are heard in the fort. Downstairs in the fort there are very cold spots that should be impossible in the tropics. Several executions did take place here and every day at noon it is said you can hear the trap door open when some one is hung. Screams and pleas for mercy have also been heard to come from the jail area.

It is said that there are mass graves of yellow fever victims in under the forts parade ground. A young girl's ghosts with severe burns is often seen near the old hospital area.Many ghost hunters have visited Fort Zachary Taylor over the years and they say that all the deaths that occured here have caused a hot bed of paranormal activity.
