Have another smile...and stay for awhile...
Hang out on my front porch with me...and enjoy the outdoors in style!
Sit back in the ol' rocking chair...and ease your mind...perhaps even...lose a care...
Take off your cap and enjoy the breeze...blowing through what's left of your thinning hair.
It's Ok...Ol' Timer...you have surely worked your share...
So...Sit back awhile in the ol' rocking chair...right there.
There's plenty of work left for us both...we will never catch up...
Shoot...I think I'll even splurge for another round of coffee for your cup.
We've been way to busy workin'...and forgot we had many good stories to tell...
Both of us have put in extra hours...if "taking a break" is a problem...that's "Too Bad, Oh Well !?"
Taking it easy for once...has been on my List of things "To Do"...
What's more...I got a few good tales to tell...and maybe a joke or two.
So...pull up a chair, my friend...Life's too short to run in this rat race...
We'll be pushin' up daisies here...real soon...if we both don't slow our pace.
I want to laugh and talk with you...'Cause...It sure has been awhile...
Most folks I tell my ol' jokes to...won't even grant me one thin smile!
So...Sit a spell...and loosen the load...for an hour or two...
Don't worry about what's got'ta get done...I'm sure it will be there waitin' on you!
I've got a new "Fisherman's Tale" to share...about the one...that got away...
Did I tell you about my ol' tractor...finally got it painted Bright Red...'stead of that Primer Gray.
What about that crazy painter...you know...C.C. over at Ol' Ralwus Place...?
Have you read the latest Redneck Tale...I see Gus...still has a grin on his face ?
What about that Wise Ol' Leatherneck...Maven...You heard from him...in awhile?
Turns out...behind tantrum's big ol' eye..sits a very imaginitive lady...with a nice big smile.
And what of that BC guy...I hear he's got himself another profile and avatar...
It's kind of fun...keeping up with these folks...even though some live..."God Knows-How Far ?"
Then there's Ms. AEvans...picking out a personalized license plate for her new car...
And you got "A Texan"...still stating things...juz' as they are..
Advisor4qb, Laura du Toit, and Crazdwriter...been staying busy...doing the writing thing...
Myownworld, Justine76, and PrettyDarkHorse...were inviting folks to dinner...but I didn't know what to bring!
Then you got bloodnlatex...poor dude...Did you see what happened to his eye...?
Poetlorraine is back again...kinda' glad 'cause most of us...never did say "Bye!"
Haven't heard from Disturbia, Beth 100 or Candy V...at all much...lately...
Has anyone talked to that "Whiskey Chick"...you know...Frieda Babbley.

Sorry to see redneckwoman...had to leave us...and for her reasons...she had to quit.
Well...we could talk for hours...about those crazy writers on Hub Pages...it seems...
Cris A is alright after seven meters of misery; Daniel Carter's been interpreting dreams.
Folks been coming and going...and putting out some really great Hubs...
Except that Kooky Ol' MPM...he keeps writing poems about Hubber's Snubs !?
Am I dead, yet...is still part of the living; "I Am...You are"...by I*n*v*i*c*t*u*s...read real well...
Wesleycox has learned the fine art of poetry..and having fun with it...from what I can tell.
Dang...the time sure flies right by...the moment you sit down...and take a break...

XTASIS: Hey there! Thanks for the comment about my poem. Tell that tantrum "Howdy" for me...we need tantrum to stop by and bring about a couple dozen empanadas along. Thanks for noticing the pics...each one was picked to perfection of the place I want to have (No...unfortunately...that's not where I live...YET!). It would be complete with yellow lab, log cabin, eating area up on porch, row of rockin' chairs, tool shed (big enough to park the tractor), lake view from the hill, pasture by the cove, old barn, and big oak or pecan tree in the front yard...next to the ol' country road. Sounds perfect to me! Your welcome to come and sit a spell...whenever it becomes a reality. : ) MPM

That is great that you are ready to write a poem again...pretty cool...Good Fortune with it! Go for the Hub thing...WHY NOT? Folks know ya' around these parts...I know they'll support ya'. Been a long time since I sat on a porch with good buddies = we used ta do some singin' too. Peaceful evenin's the mockingbird callin' I miss it.
Well then, Soft Corn Hippo...pull up a chair and stay awhile...I'm sure one of these talented Hubbers can play a gui-tar'...we can all try to carry a tune for some good ol' fun songs...and I know the mockingbird will by close by...might even join in! just switched on and there you were right at the top, i re read this and it made me smile, just to think there are actually people out there with a caring friendly approach to life........ keep writing and caring..... i had nutty flavoured coffee when i went to America, it was superb.

But, as for me, I'm just being my naturally goofy and poetic (manly) self...This Hub community with its "all-international cast"...brings out the best in me...and brings back old associations of when I used to travel in an International Cast...back in the day. Because... normally in person...I ain't usually this lovable! LOL... :) Thanks for stopping in again and re-reading this one...I like to think that works that we like to go back to...helps to set a benchmark for how good they actually are...!?
