Have The Democrat's Gone Crazy With Our Money?
65What Else Do The Democrat's Want?
We've all heard the saying; "power corrupts, but absolute power corrupts absolutely." I first heard this from the original movie, "The Day The Earth Stood Still." It simply demonstrated how power allows one to control others, but leaves you with the thought of ABSOLUTE POWER. This is now the case of the Democratic Party. With control of the Presidency, the Senate and the House of Representatives this leaves only the Supreme Court in the Democratic hands. Should our current President have the chance to replace conservative jurists with liberal jurists, the Democratic Party will have ABSOLUTE POWER. That should scare anyone that believes in the balance of power. Our forefathers that wrote the Constitution may not have had a one party system in mind. President Obama campaigned on crossing the aisle to discuss things with the Republican's. As his record shows, this is NOT something our President has done. An example would be his last year in the Senate. Senator Obama voted with his party approximately 97% of the time. Just to show you how things work in Illinois, Senator Dick Durban (The Senior Senator from Illinois) was number one at voting with his party. His percentage of voting with his party was almost 98 percent. The national debt has been increased by our President by trillion's of dollars since President Obama took office. Still he and the Congressional leaders always blame President Bush. It took President Bush eight years and wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to increase the debt as high as it was. Under President Obama it has only taken one month to increase the debt by one third of the previous debt.. Does this not scare you? New York Senator, Charles Schumer has said; " the people don't care how much money we (the government) spend. Is there any reality to Senator Schumer's statement? Don't you like your own money, I like mine. A bill the President and Congress have passed has things like, $200,000 for tattoo removal, $400,000 to combat "bullying" need I say more? Did I really say that? It's true. We are talking ABSOLUTE POWER. President Obama said that he is against Pork and Earmarks. Why then were there over 900 Pork provisions in the Stimulus Package? Wait until you end up hearing all the Pork that is in the new bill. The next bill has passed? Of course, just go back to my power statements. The debt has been increased by some six hundred billion. Obama has made Bush look like an amateur, when it comes to spending. The Republicans aren't even allowed in meetings to discuss bills. An excellent example is the Stimulus Package. The conversation must have gone this way. Democrats- We have finished writing the new Stimulus Package. Republicans- But we haven't had any input in the bill. Democrats- That's ok, we have the votes to pass it. Republicans- Can we at least read it? Democrats- Sure, it's almost a thousand pages. You will get copies tonight and we will vote tomorrow. Republicans- You can't read a thousand pages overnight? Democrats- It doesn't matter, we have the necessary votes. Government for and by the people, I think not. ABSOLUTE POWER cannot be trumped! I wrote this months ago and it now pales in comparrison to what has happened since then, but fear not. Maybe you can get a job as a printer for the Treasury Department.
