We Have Heard The World is Ending for Years!

Remember the slogan..."The Sky is Falling, The Sky is Falling!" We used to hear from Christians..."The World is Ending, The World is Ending." Now today we here..."The Planet is Ending...(as we know it, if we don't take care of it.)

Some people believe if we do our part, we can save the planet. We are supposed to do our part anyway. It is our moral obligation to take care of the world we live in. Care for the animals, treat others with respect, keep watch over the elderly, help the widows, keep our environment clean. Raise our children in loving homes, pay our bills, work for a living. Isn't this what we've been taught, to be responsible?

Unfortunately many people have not met up to the obligations of today, of what is right in our society. The planet is speaking out, there has been damage done. Our bodies are aging, plant and wildlife are dying off. We ourselves can only maintain a certain life style, in hopes to lengthen our lives. But we can't always control what others do.

For us we can be good to our environment, be kind to others, take care of our animals. Will this guarantee that we will live longer more prosperous lives? Maybe if we do all of these things it will increase our happiness? Doing the best that we can do, being the best we can be.

The questions in life: "Can we really stop the progression of things on this earth? How about stopping the progression of aging? Can we stop people from destroying each other just in their words and actions? Can we be perfect citizens?

We are all guilty in one way or another in buying into the Industrial Age. Most of us drive cars, use paper, build houses, use electricity. We have been programmed by society, to keep up on the latest fashion, drive the nicest cars and have the fancy houses.  And now  access to the air, with our airplanes and even to the moon and back.

Keeping up with the Jones, even if it means, car payments, house payments and even business and college payments. Our government has shown us well, how to get into debt. They haven't done so well in showing us by example how to get out of debt, or to live within our means. Budget? Some people don't know, what the name means?

What happened to the old days? Where the 2nd and 3rd generations lived on their family farms and estates. Homes and land that were paid for by their ancestors. Now we have to have bigger and nicer homes than our parents and grandparents. All for a material world. Today families say they can't live on one income. Why? Because we haven't been taught delayed gratification. When 2 people are working, one income is to pay the bills, the other to save for a rainy day:)

So things weren't so bad after all in the good old days! People lived off their land. Bartered, traded, and helped each other out.

Just think how things would be, if they stayed how they used to be? Families were closer, the kids grew up around their grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Children knew who their Father and Mother were. They had home cooked meals by candle light. At night they were nestled in their home by the fire, sharing the events of the day..or just plum tuckered out:) As some old timers would say.

For entertainment they had social groups, town meetings, barn dances, picnics, and field games. Good family entertainment! When there was a problem, it had to be worked out! If they didn't work it out, others would make them face up, and say they were sorry. No one wanted to have a disgruntled person living amongst them. Not so many things pulling them away from their families.

Well things have changed, and they were bound to progress. Wouldn't it of been nice, for the inventors of the past, to see the future? Maybe some things would of been delayed, till our society was more ready to handle such futuristic novelties:) Some sort of balance to life, a greater appreciation, for people, and the blessings of advancement and technology. Some are just too smart for their britches, they used to say:) Our smart inventors of the day have added so much to the progression of our lives.

Along with progression came change, then loss of what really is important in life. Love of family, appreciation to live are days to the fullest. Accomplishing our dreams, having a joy for living, being ambitious and knowing we are somebody special! Having the confidence that we, can really make a difference in our society.

Why is it when the environment of the world gets so bad, that people realize it is out of control!

Then the shift of blame is put on the little people. They are expected to fix the worlds problems.  The big corporations and government have the ability to do so much more to make the world a better place. To serve the people, all the people, not just the upper class. Of course with combined efforts we could do great things. It seems underhanded that we have laws that are passed, piggy backed to other bills. Bills that have nothing to do with what  they are passing. The voice of the little person, doesn't seem to make a difference.

Yet no matter what anyone does, this world will continue to deteriorate. Just as our bodies age, and the ozone layers deplete. The ice continues to melt, this planet looks hopeless. Is our planet imploding upon itself? There are those who think the earth is too populated. Yet look at China now, not having enough women to go around for the men. Women to reproduce more male children. Then there are countries who don't have enough children to govern their upcoming generations. Maybe there will be more success in cloning, but haven't we already proven that messing with nature is not such a good thing.

If the planet just evolved, and there is no order of design. Then what do we have to look forward to, except to just live for today. If you plan on living a long time, this might not seem so bad. But what about those who have a disease, or are elderly? Is it hopeful to just die? Wouldn't all of us like to live a new life or extend our life beyond today? Most of us have heard the saying "there are no do-overs!"

We all are born into this world the same way, and we will all die one day. When we are young we seem to think we have an eternity to live here on earth. Doesn't it seem we all came from the same place, and that there was a plan put in place to how we would breathe and sustain life?

What happens if this earth is destroyed? Will we all go in capsules to the moon? Lots of questions....We run around in life trying to gain the knowledge of others and dead men. When the one who created us, knows all the answers. He knows the beginning from the end. The God of the Universe who knows us better than we know ourselves. Who allows us to make mistakes, and to sin. Then provides a means or a way out, through His grace and obedience of His Son Jesus Christ. The one who knew no sin, but became sin for us!

God has made a way for us to know what's beyond this planet, beyond this life. As humans, we lean unto our own understanding to gain knowledge of our future through the eyes of man. So many of us do not want to look at God's plan or abide by His rules. Not gaining the knowledge of what we are saved from by abiding within God's purpose for our lives.

Without the knowledge of God, we could not begin to understand the plan He has for us individually. Our minds could not fully conceive the way, The God of The Heavens see us. Accepting His Gift of Grace, is one of the hardest things for us to understand and receive freely.

John 14:1-13 "Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know."

"Thomas saith unto Him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know Hm and have seen Him."

"Philip saith unto Him, Lord, shew us The Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus a saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen my Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?"

"Believest thou not that I am in The Father, and The Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but The Father that dwelleth in me, He doeth the works. Believe me that I am in The Father, and The Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake."

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that The Father may be glorified in The Son."

For a long time I have concluded that Mother Earth shall spare herself of our pillaging. Humans have destroyed the outer shell of the earth, but the earth shall live on in our absence. With any luck, those who have been chosen shall be on the righteous track to receive their golden bedroom in heaven. All that is wrong shall be righted and those who are aware of this fact have taken on the coat of honor and protection to shield their souls from catastrophe.
