Society Has Changed! Did You Notice?
79Stranger Than Strange Events?
I created a hub to discuss a perspective about aspects of life, which seem to be changing and at the same time, people are willingly setting a path of destruction ahead for themselves. It is difficult to relate to people, because most people are too busy with their daily routine to care about others, outside of their family and/or friends.
The strange patterns people have come to live by, is actually threating their life, but don't know it. The destructive nature of government to control people, places and things, is completely out of hand, in today's society.
First, America was founded on a simple moral standard- all people are created equal and a more perfect union between government and citizenry. The perfect union between citizenry and government has been in jeopardy, due to recent events not seen since the Great Depression ERA, we as a Nation, have been slowly diminishing civil liberties.
It is important to keep government at a arm-length distance, so productivity of the nation can continue to happen. If government takes too much control- our nice little 350 Million person nation could collapse completely. Then what? Communism? NO!!
Socialism would even be preferred over communism. How ever, I suggest we change our thinking about our problems and take a stranger than stranger route to ensuring the survival of America and each of it's citizens. I am not suggesting we take socialism on a new method, but communism has no rights for citizens. Socialism is the giving of too many rights, if you ever thought that was possible. Having too many rights?
Well, believe it or not, there is a common fact, known to many- YOU have Unlimited Rights. How ever, just because you have a right to something, doesn't mean you are to have it. An example: You have the right to kill any person on the planet, but can you? It is probable that you could kill someone, but almost everywhere in the World, you break a law of some sort and a punishment will be handed down. Which means, your individual right got in the way of the overall survival of society. Since you chose to take a human life, destroying a family, possibly two families, doesn't grant you the right to life. Your individual "right to life" can be stripped from you, if your actions are too horrible....you will be executed for your crime, in some states.
Have you ever noticed the LACK of uniformity of Law(s). Sure, you know.....Federal Law(s) applies to any U.S. territory, but each state do not covert or acclaimate Law(s) of other states, when those states make changes.
It's understood----the United States is a union of states, but these states are not united in the fight for humanity and grossly misperceive humankind or it's power. Many closed-minded people continue to operate in a society, which continues on with segregation, separation, racism, discrimination and inequality, destroying lives.
The Federal U.S. Government has authorized ALL 50 States of the Union, known as America, to implement and use - Capital Punishment, as a sentence. There are only a handful of States which have accepted it and some left it up to the voters to vote upon, whether or not, the State should use it.
The politicians knew that - if they left it up to the people, the people wouldn't have the nerve to sentence someone to death. How ever, in some states, it was seen as a savior, because they had extremely high murders that grabbed nationalized media coverage and that did damage to the reputation of the those states. Some states chose to go with Capital Punishment, not because they wanted leverage over extreme cases, so as to obtain "life in prison" in exchange. It's called: Pleaing down. How ever, when you use it in this manner, you are defeating the purpose for which it stands.
By allowing a criminal, who has committed horrible acts, to plea down to a life in prison, sentence, demeans the vary essense of justice for those who were murdered. This spreads a bad message to criminals.

Criminals are afraid of prison. How ever, they are afraid of losing their life. You take the toughest s.o.b. you can find and convict him, and on the day you execute him.....You send a clear-cut message to all of society- if YOU take a life, You will PAY with Yours!
Something has to be done. America's prisons are overcrowded and the costs for housing inmates is extreme, to say the least. Remember, your tax dollars pay for what they get, which is a place to sleep(shelter from the weather), food, TV(some get cable?) and clothes. In almost all ways, the criminals are treated better than many others, like the homeless, who have nothing. What's that say about our society?
When does society realize there is more to life than what's already realized? It seems to be that people's perceptions are tied to their perspectives. So, when someone perceives something to be true, they also form their perspectives around what they learned or experienced.
Unfortunately, many citizens have perceived that their own existence is the will of someone else. Which, leads them to form a false perspective about life and/or it's meaning. If you were told a lie, but you were never told it was a lie- How would you be able to determine what is a lie and what isn't? You would go your entire life, which could be a very long time, and end up dying, because you didn't know the truth.
Yes, because you didn't know the truth about your life IS the reason for your eventual death.
How ever, if you're religious in any way, shape or form, then you're obviously going to shun everything I say, because you've been taught for most of your life, that religion is how it is and to say otherwise is blasphemy against GOD, the mystical all-knowning, be everwhere, false idol.
The strangest thing about what I know, is learned from some of the most incredible, successful hard-thinkers of American culture. Where I got my information is not a resource available to the average person.
If what I say, bothers you in any way, do realize- I've done over 20+ years of research on the topics I cover on my hubs. My main goal is to get you to accept your life as your own and propel forward by your own self-responsible human consciousness. Your growth is a must, so society can evolve to the next stage.
Please take your time when reading my hubs. I only offer truth in my words based on research and experience.

Thank you very much Deborah-Lynn...you are a sweetheart.
I guess if the America government used prisoners as a labor source as China did, the problem of overcrowding prisons will disappear.
Siew Cheng, Yes, that would help reduce the costs of prison inmates, but will solve the issue for why people commit crimes or change their way of thinking, so we can truly prevent crime before it starts. And, that would be to attack the underlying problem- the 'way' people think. Thank you for coming by my hub and reading what I've got to say. I'm grateful for your view and your time. Thank you.
Glad to see people with ethics, working for the good guys. Keep it real man.
Thank you for your kind words bearclawmedia. I am grateful for your words and encouragement. Thank you again.
Cagsil,
Good perspective. Our society has indeed changed - everyone has abdicated responsibilities and is looking for someone to blame. Although my thoughts to repair our great nation are born of my faith, we share some view points:)

I have certainly noticed the change-- quite possible because I have a longer view than a majority of hubbers and people in general. ( OK-- that's the long way of saying I am chronologically older than most of them.) The '50s were a great time to grow up. I was lucky.
"self-responsible human consciousness"-- hmm an interesting idea. I wonder how man people still get that idea.
