Have You Tried Nambu For Twitter Yet?

Nambu in Beta format outperforms older applications!
Today I tried Nambu for Twitter a relatively new client application that is still in Beta version, and I was very impressed.
Nambu is only for Mac OS X 10.5, sorry Windows users you will have to wait a while before you can try it. I can tell you that I think it is going to make the tweets talk because it is a very nice app.
I have not tested Nambu's support for other social networks like Friendsfeed, but for the many supporters of that network the integration of both in one app is a welcome feature. I do think however that Nambu will find its strength at the heart of twitter users. You can monitor several accounts at once, a function that for me was a clear winner. You can also choose in which way to monitor the accounts. Nambu offers a very customizable interface. You will find an easy integration with the pic.im image service and the tr.im shorting URL.
The view can be selected as a one column integrated timeline view of all open accounts or a three pane view akin to the mail view we all are familiar with. You can choose which account to view from the side bar. It does also provide for a multi-column view that resemble what I had been accustomed to use in TweetDeck. You select of course what you want to display in any of the columns, choices are sent messages, timeline, replies, favorite, searches, etc..
There are a few more nice features that I really enjoyed, the fact that replies are threaded, and appear indented under the most recent tweet to which you are replying, the display of the domain for the short URL that appears inline when you tap on it, on the iphone or when you click on it on the computer. Finally the notification window on the computer is not obtrusive.
Until now I had been using TweetDeck on my computer and Twitterific on my iphone, I am making the switch to Nambu for both.
I highly recommend that you give a try, it can be downloaded for free from the Nambu Website.
