When thinking of a holiday on a Spanish island, most people think about Ibiza, but whilst Majorca may not have as much of a party spirit reputation as Ibiza, it’s not a destination that you should overlook. Majorca has plenty of other things going for it as a holiday location, and it’s not too shabby in the partying category either! Temperatures in Majorca don’t get quite as high as some of the other more popular islands, but with a top temperature of around 31 degrees centigrade, it’s hot enough to develop the suntan of your dreams. A word of caution however, when planning your holiday, keep airport transfers in mind when choosing which of the many Majorca hotels you’re going to stay at as these can be expensive. Unless you are able to share the cost, finding hotels in Majorca where the airport transfers are frequent and cost less can help your budget go further!

Now you’ve got the transfer situation sorted out you can sit back and eagerly await your holiday. Majorca is a stunning island that has something to please everyone. Whether it’s dancing till dawn at El Arenal or Magluf, or exploring the fishing towns Porto Pollensia and Porto Cristo, that makes you happy, you’re sure to have a wonderful holiday.

Some of the Majorca resorts have been designed for families with young children. They recognise that getting around isn’t easy when you’ve got small kids and a lot of associated “essentials” to carry with you. The resorts incorporate not only hotels, but also shops and attractions that are located nearby so that you can experience all the fun of holidaying on the island but without having to go very far. Many of these are located close to a beach so that everything you could need is close at hand.

Other hotels in Majorca offer great features such as a balcony overlooking the ocean, or a menu of spa treatments available in-house, so make sure you check out the features of each Majorca hotel before making your reservation. Some smaller Majorca hotels may not offer an evening restaurant service, others may offer only a continental breakfast so do your research before you book! If you don’t want to stay in one of the many hotels in Majorca, you could consider a Majorca apartment for your holiday stay. Apartments in Majorca go from the basic small one room apartment to a more exclusive multi-room villa located near the beach. Think about what you’ll need the apartment for, and what your budget is before making a final decision.

There are many opportunities to explore Spanish culture and lifestyle whilst in Majorca. There are also zoos and museums to keep you entertained when the beach gets too much. For a little escape and serenity however Camp de Mar is a perfect place to go. Golfers especially will love this little oasis from the usual tourist focused parts of the island. Anyone looking for excitement on the other hand should visit El Arenal where the energy and adrenalin levels are high.
Whatever you want from a holiday, Majorca has it!
