Have yourself a furry little Christmas
74Bless me, Father, for I have sinned.
That's what I used to say when I went to confession when I was a little girl. I didn't actually sin but that's what you were supposed to say. Anyway, I began this hub this way because it is a confession of sorts. My confession is, I used to think people who bought toys and things for their pets on Christmas were overdoing it. I mean, come on, it's a dog, for crying out loud.
That all changed when I got a pet of my own: My little bunny.
As a reformed Pet Grinch, I can say in all honesty and with chagrin that yes, our pets deserve to be included at Christmastime because not only are they our pets; they are members of our family. So come with me on my holiday go-see to explore some thoughtful, fun gifts for our furry little friends.

KONG Flyer Dog Toy, Large, Red

List Price: $11.55 |
Dogs LOVE chewing on stuff. The problem is, it's usually something you need like your wallet. Or shoes. Or cellphone, even. Why not get Rusty a nice chew toy that makes noise when he chomps on it? These little Barnyard Grunters grunt when your dog nibbles and gnaws on them, which has to be satisfying. Plus they are just as cute as a button. Barnyard Grunters come in three available critters — Sheep, Pig and Duck. Not only will you satisfy your dog's chewing urges with these cute chew toys, you will satisfy his primal hunting instincts, as they really do look like the real thing, in spite of their cute factor. Get one (or all three) and put them all under the tree so Rusty has something to chew on on Christmas morning when everyone is opening their presents. Better than Dad's new cowboy boots or Mom's new designer handbag. Or how about a cool little jug for his treats with a top that he can tug and play with, trying to get the treats inside? Everyone loves a challenge, and your pooch is no exception.
If your dog could talk, he would tell you to get him a cool Frisbee-type toy that won't hurt his tender mouth when he catches it! Which is exactly what makes the Kong Rubber Flyer so great!
Keep Rusty (and you) fit and trim after the holidays by playing catch with one of these fun sporty toys. This comes in bright red, so it is easy to spot at the park, and other dog owners will go "Hey, where did you get that?"

FURminator Waterless deShedding Shampoo and Conditioner for Dogs and Cats
Price: $8.22
List Price: $12.95 |
This tool is a must-have for dogs, cats and bunnies, especially long-haired ones. Even short-haired pets drop a lot of hair here and there — You just don't really notice it until someone gets behind you at the bank and their kid goes "Mom, that lady has cat hair all over her pants!"
OK, I might be exaggerating a bit, but your pets really do throw off quite a bit of pet hair and dander, which frequent brushing relieves. Instead of getting a garden-variety brush or comb, why not get the Mack Daddy of pet groomers: The Furminator?
I have one of these since I have a long-haired bunny and I can tell you I am floored by just how much fur this device removes from my bunny. (All quite painlessly, I might add). All animals feel better after getting groomed. You can tell because they just act all fine and frisky. I mean, you feel better after a nice hot shower, right? Your pet will find his or her own way to say thank you after a good grooming with one of these.
Just watch this video and you'll be convinced!

SmartCat Bootsie's Bunk Bed and Playroom for Cats
Price: $26.93
List Price: $47.89 |
Cats, like bunnies, love little hiding places. They also love napping (hence the term "cat napping"), and playing with little toys dangling from strings.
Which is why a gift that combines both of these favorite pastimes would be a great present to give for your special little cat this Christmas.
You won't find this unique and fun item in pet stores. This is truly one of a kind. Not only does it have a bunk bed inside, it also serves as a playroom, with windows to peek out of and has two springy toys hanging off the sides that provide hours of amusement as kitty sits on the cushioned top and bats them to her heart's content.

PetSafe Heated Wellness Sleeper, Small
Price: $38.34
List Price: $69.99 |
Ahh.
Nothing's better than curling up by the fireplace at your master's feet, basking in the warm glow of the fire after you brought him his slippers. Oh, wait, your master doesn't have a fireplace.
Don't fret. Here is the next-best thing, a cozy heated bed big enough for two to snuggle on a chilly winter night. The power cord is detachable and stores in a pocket on the side when not in use. Ask Santa to bring you one of these because you have been a very good cat, small dog or bunny!

You really do come up with the most thoughtful ideas for hubs, cosette. I bought my sister's Pekingese a bed just like the one you featured and she really likes it...Now what to do about her breath??? (The Pekingese, I mean, not my sister :P ).
your grandson will love a bunny. i don't know how old he is but it is recommended that bunnies only be given to older children and not very young ones, as they must be handled with care. good luck!

Nice hub. That furminator is a must have for any pet owner. It can't even be called a grooming comb... it is so far beyond the others.
I like your style and variety.
