Pololu Beach , Big Island
Polulu Beach is located in the lovely Hawaii and is known as a “secret beach” because it is a bit off the beaten path and makes it number one in my list of Hawaii's best secret beaches. Polulu Beach is located on a lovely stretch of land on the Kohala Coast. This slice of earth is just as dramatic as it is tropical. The vistas that can be seen from the rocky beach are quite stunning. Polulu Beach is a wonderful place for a romantic afternoon or just some quite time with the ocean.
One of the most incredible things about Hawaii's best secret beach Polulu Beach is that the scenery changes with the seasons. In the summer months, the beach is covered in dramatic Hawaiian black sand. In the winter, however, the sand subsided and Polulu Beach gives way to its majestic boulders. The waters along Polulu Beach are not the best for swimming. However, the Polulu Stream at the top of the beach creates a pool in the winter time that is perfect for swimming. Polulu Beach is located on the biggest of the Hawaiian islands, which is generally known as simply “Big Island.”
Polihale Beach, Kauai
Polihale, an uncommonly beautiful beach, is yet another one of Hawaii's best secret beaches that casts an almost sacred spell on all who visit. Isolated and other-worldly, the beach hugs the shore below steep mounds of blazing, white sand called Nohilili Dunes. At the end of an old sugarcane road, Polihale is the site of ancient Hawaiian temple ruins, originally constructed at a point over the ocean where Hawaiians believed the souls of the dead departed for Po, the underworld.
Polihua Beach, Lanai
Polihua Beach is over 1.5 miles long and is the longest white sand beach on Lanai. Characterized by rough waters and high winds, Polihua is more of a scenic beach rather than an interactive one. The winds are sometimes so strong they create sand storms, so if you go here on a windy day you’ll most probably get sand blown all over yourself. On windless days, this beach is a good spot for sunbathing, picnicking and picture-taking. On a clear day, you can see across the Kalohi Channel all the way to Molokai or even to Oahu’s Diamond Head.
Waianapanapa Black Sand Beach, Maui
This is not just a black sand beach; it is a very special area for the Hawaiians, a place where a Queen visited, a sacred place you might say. There are Romantic Legends to be told, there are sites of wondrous coastline, caves and sea arches. With guides, you can hear the stories and lend your vision to a time of love, sadness and calmness. Don’t miss out on these stories.
Bellows field beach, Oahu
Bellows Field Beach Park is fronted by a long, wide, sand beach. A shallow sandbar off the beach provide good waves for bodysurfing and bodyboarding. A typical windward beach, Bellows has an interesting array of marine life. The prevailing trade winds blow a jellyfish called the Portugese man o’war onshore. Small, blue, floating bubbles that are hard to see in the surf, man o’war inflict painful stings on unwary swimmers. See the lifeguards for severe stings. Man o’war are often accompanied by a small, floating snail, the pupu pani, or “cork shell. Bellows field beach is one of Hawaii's best secret beaches that you must visit if you have the time and energy for it.

It's great to see another hubber who writes about the beaches of Hawaii. Good job!
Great info! I have personally visited 3 of the beaches on your list and would agree with the list. Hoping to visit the others soon.
Awesome. My favorite beach locations are on Kauai. I haven't been to the one Kauai Beach you have an image for. I'll have to check it out next time I am there.
