Sexual perversions are conditions in which sexual excitement/orgasm is associated with acts/imagery that are considered unusual or not normal within the culture. To avoid problems associated with the stigmatization of these labels, the neutral term "paraphilia," derived from the Greek roots meaning "alongside of" and "love," is used to describe what used to be called sexual perversions. Paraphilia is a condition in which a person's sexual arousal and gratification greatly depend on a fantasy theme of an unusual situation or an object that becomes the principal focus of sexual behavior. Hence, sexual perversion and paraphilia are quite synonymous.
Description
Paraphilias can revolve around a particular sexual object or a particular act. They are defined by Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders IV (DSM-IV) as "sexual impulse disorders characterized by intensely arousing, recurrent sexual fantasies, urges and behaviors considered deviant with respect to cultural norms and that produce clinically significant distress or impairment in social, occupational or other important areas of psychosocial functioning." The nature of a paraphilia is generally specific and unchanging, and most of the paraphilias are far more common in men than in women.
Paraphilias include fantasies, behaviors, and/or urges which:
- involve nonhuman sexual objects, such as shoes or undergarments
- require the suffering or humiliation of oneself or partner
- involve children or other non-consenting partners
The most common paraphilias are:
- exhibitionism, or exposure of the genitals
- fetishism, or the use of nonliving objects
- frotteurism, or touching and rubbing against a nonconsenting person
- pedophilia, or the focus on prepubescent children
- sexual masochism, or the receiving of humiliation or suffering
- sexual sadism, or the inflicting of humiliation or suffering
- transvestic fetishism, or cross-dressing
- voyeurism, or watching others engage in undressing or sexual activity
Hmmm...
I am no psychologist nor psychiatrist so I'll just leave the classification of Dr. Kho to their hands.
We have different opinions regarding this matter, whether good or bad, whether we like it or not, this issue has made us more aware of such possibilities. It should be a lesson to everyone not to be that trustworthy and not to be in a hurry to divulge into any sexual activity. Remember, if you're not comfortable doing the act and your just into it because you want to gratify or satisfy your partner then it isn't worth the trouble and the sacrifice. If you are married then go and proliferate, if you're two consenting adults who doesn't care about premarital sex, just be sure that after the said act you can proudly say to yourself that your dignity is still intact or you don't regard your partner as a sex toy or object.

As for the 40 videos still left in hiding, and lives about to be in perill, I do recommend that we abstain from downloading, watching and even talk about it. Let us not intensify the curiousity!

Just very opinionated and wittingly posted, which is interesting if I think about it. You know what Doc? I'm also in the medical field but that doesn't stop me being skeptical about things. Actually, the ones with overexaggerated reactions are the ones OUTSIDE the medical field. Hayden just made things worse by being a doctor, coincidentally. In reality, i'm personally surrounded by the people who we all wanna hear from...admin, teachers, etc. They all just shrug it off and not cause a scandal out of it. They actually respect the workings of our judiciary to take charge over this matter. In the end, whatever is destined to become of Hayden Kho will materialize. Before you know it, tomorrow is another day...another chance for a new scandal. The world is perverted. Accept it. But don't treat yourself as though you've never been impure. How come it's always that doctors are expected to be more "beyond human"? Aren't we all required to be socially ethical at all times? Pinoys are so stuck up. Loosen up a bit. Be more open-minded but optimistic. and please stop being judgmental. Pinapahiya niyo kaming mga matatalino. Yun lang.

Everyone's private moments are supposed to be kept private. Women are just as passionate in bed because all human beings have the same appetites. This one didn't know her passions would be exposed for the whole world to leer at and call her a "pokpok" ----- your mothers, your sisters, your female friends ----- if they are true to their passions and if they LOVE someone, they will express their love like that.

I strongly agree with you Filipina. There's nothing wrong on Maricar's actions when she making love with a person whom she thought she was in loved with at that time.She was just expressing her love, the bad only thing was she's not aware that she was being recorded. The issue is not totally about her. Its the people who are making it sensational especially the media and the FIlipinos that are hypocrite. Trying to be as if Maria Clara but are actually BIG time whore, atleast Maricar did it out of love,at a wrong person though. I have seen the 4 videos, it was really shocking but what can you do, she's a victim.I jsut hope and pray that she will be strong and brave especially now that there some coming out. I understand that she's not coming out, she has nothing to protect anymore about herself, but her family. If you are here in the states you will be better off I'd say, people here are more liberated and less hypocrite. From the description of Paraphilia, I would say that is what advertising companies use to sell consumer products to us, not to mention that the term Paraphilias revolving around a particular sexual object or a particular act. Is seen in many of the online dating sites, that seem to gain the most popularity during economic crisis.
