He baptizeth with the Holy Ghost

Spirit of God
This would be a continuation of my hub called "Be ye Baptized" AND ...this section is almost impossible split from the Baptism of water, many see it as the same, but I will endeavor to show the difference.
God has promised that he will pour out his Spirit on all flesh
Ac:2:17: And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
The reason for pouring out the Holy Spirit
Ro:8:29: For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Ro:8:30: Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
Eph:1:3: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
Eph:1:4: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Eph:1:5: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
Eph:1:11: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
Re:13:8: ..................Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
The word predestinated ....Grk word proorizo, .... “determine beforehand,” “ordain,” “decide upon ahead of time.”
What is the Spirit of God.....????
The use of the words Spirit of God has been used in many ways and many different ways of application.
The Spirit of God is the life giving part of God that is able to be in all things it is the part that gives life and takes life away, its the part that created the earth, it is God himself it is one of the three that call them self "us" and "our" in Ge:1:26.
Originally man was walking in the presence of God in the garden of Eden. and had an eternal body that was clothed with the light of God (image and likeness), and this clothing left them when they believed Satan's lies. This light was the Holy Spirit, and mans Spirit was clothed with eternal life,.but when the Soul sinned the light left the Spirit of Man, and man became sin bound and without power in the Spirit, this caused the Body to die, because the Spirit of life left man, now this sin separated Man from God. All of man kind now are born in sin without LIFE" Eternal Life"
God had already planned for this Fall of man before he created man and it is played out in many scriptures ..... how God was going to restore man and restore him with more power and authority than Adam and Eve...
Eze:36:26: A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Eze:36:27: And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
Joh:1:33: Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
Ro:8:1: ........, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Ro:8:2: For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Ro:8:4: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Ro:8:5: For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
Ro:8:6:............... but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Ro:8:9: But ye ............ but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Ro:8:10: And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
Ro:8:11: But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Ro:8:14: For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Ro:8:16: The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
Lets look at the Key words
new spirit will I put within you........my spirit within you.....Spirit descending.....remaining on him.....he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost......walk.....after the Spirit........ law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.......free from the law of.........death.....righteousness of the law.......walk.....after the Spirit.....mind the things of the.......of the Spirit.....to be spiritually minded is life and peace......in the Spirit......Spirit of God dwell in you.....Spirit of Christ......Christ be in you.....the Spirit is life........Spirit of him........dwell in you.......led by the Spirit of God.....are the sons of God..........The Spirit itself.........with our spirit......we are the children of God........
Jesus Christ had to first go back to the Father in order to send the Holy Spirit the Comforter
Joh:14:16: And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Joh:14:26: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Joh:15:26: But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
Joh:16:7: Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
This happened on the day of Pentecost
Ac:2:1: And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
Ac:2:2: And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
Ac:2:3: And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
Ac:2:4: And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
After looking at these scriptures and key words, you will notice how to answer the question of being "BORN AGAIN", God makes us new creatures old passed away
2Co:5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Not the same as reborn, a common term used outside the biblical term and does not describe the truth of being new.
BORN AGAIN
Joh:3:3: Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Joh:3:4: Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
Joh:3:5: Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Joh:3:6: That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Joh:3:7: Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Joh:3:8: The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
These scriptures have had many people trying to dissect what it really means, especially when they judge themselves and find themselves falling short. like Nicodemus
Jesus spelt it out to Nicodemus a religious jew that read scriptures ......
Baptism of the water......" Except a man be born of water"
Baptism of the Holy Spirit......."and of the Spirit"
Once you are Born again in the Holy Spirit , you begin to produce "fruits of the spirit"
Fruit of the Spirit
Ga:5:22: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Ga:5:23: Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Ga:5:24: And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Ga:5:25: If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Ga:5:26: Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
Eph:5:8: For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
Eph:5:9: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
Eph:5:10: Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
Eph:5:11: And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Eph:5:12: For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
Not only does the Holy Spirit produce fruits, but also equips us with ARMOUR
Armour of God
The armour of God is to empower us against the enemy, and because the enemy is spirit we war in the spirit realm
Eph:6:12: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Col:1:16: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Col:2:15: And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Ti:3:1: Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
Ro:13:12: The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
2Co:6:7: By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
Eph:6:11: Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Eph:6:13: Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Spiritual Gifts
Spiritual gifts are to equip believers with Gods work to continue in the purpose of the Holy Spirit
Ro:11:29: For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
Ro:12:6: Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
1Co:12:1: Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
1Co:12:4: Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
1Co:12:9: To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
1Co:12:28: And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
1Co:12:30: Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
1Co:12:31: But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
1Co:14:1: Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.
1Co:14:12: Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.
There is now all we need to be Christ like more though it is not us that lives and does these works of the Holy Spirit, it is God in us
Joh:17:11: And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
Ro:7:17: Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Joh:17:23: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
Joh:17:26: And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

The Bible is fantastic in the way it uses specific words, the words are in an order that can only be described as Divine, it is able to harmonise with itself every where , and all this takes place over thousands of years, consistency is the Bible. The importance of knowing the difference between Spirit, Soul, and body

Great hub! I enjoyed the way you organized the scripture readings. I find that I can't testify to anything without backing it up with scripture. Thank you for what you do to defend the faith!
