BEHAVIOR OF LICE
An adult louse looks most likely the size of a sesame seed. They cannot burrow the eggs into the scalp. Using exceptional magnifying device, a growing nymph can be seen inside the egg. In general, a few living lice, lesser than a dozen, infest a person.

LICE HISTORY
There had been at least an epidemic of lice in 80 of the elementary schools in the United States. Explorers from Europe who came back to the Old World from the Americas would have brought the Clade B lice back to Europe in the early 16th Century. Lice which belong to mitochondrial Clade B could have been discovered in North America or Asia, as earlier statistics proposed.

SYMPTOMS AND DIAGNOSIS
Nits present in the head of children do not necessarily mean they are infested with living lice. This is by slightly parting the hair a few centimeters of space and try to look for a live louse clinging to the hair near the scalp, also the areas of the ears and the neck, in particular. Most bites are so tiny, usually in red marks but it can be seen mostly at the back of the neck under the persons long hair. The most common symptom is the recurrent itching of the head which builds up 3 to 4 weeks after the first infestation. About 30-40 chance that a child with nits or lice eggs may get infested, as long as not single living lice is seen on the scalp. All sensible attempts should be searched in identifying the reasons of these irritations and to classify the responsible living thing on the scalp or body.

TREATMENT
It can be purchased in any local drugstores. Wet hair decreases the lice's agility and allows them to move slower and easier to pull out. It becomes a fine opportunity for the parents to provide time for their child while removing these pests. There's no need to spend so much in treating head lice because they do not live long enough after being removed from the scalp.

THESE ARE THE ESSENTIAL WAYS TO REMOVE LICE AND NITS AND TO KEEP THEM FROM COMING BACK:
If this menace is not treated or removed properly, the lice will come back and you will have to start all over again. Other types of insects and foreign objects were seen in the remaining samples that look like lice eggs. Inform the school about lice thus they can perform a random check up of all the children. Cleanse all the clothes, bed covers, pillows, sleeping bags used by the person infested using extremely hot water and hot dry for about 20 minutes. Constant itching of the head or sensing that something is moving in the head doesn't mean that you are already infested. Check your children's hair everyday to see if there are nits still present. Nurses in school are normally the best performers in finding signs of head lice infestation.

PREVENTION
These lice really are not easy to bring to an end. Maintaining lengthy hair neatly lends a hand in preventing lice attack. Know the symptoms. Avoiding head lice infestation is mainly the center of attention of most parents and doctors.
