No one wants insects crawling all over their body. But head lice are just that - may be not all over the body, but definitely all over the head and the neck region too. Head lice are really small insects - in fact they are so small that they can hardly be viewed with the naked eye. But small they may be, but innocent they are not. They make the human head their home and live off the natural warmth of the human body and suck the human blood to sustain themselves. They even lay eggs on the head itself to extend their progeny.

Head Lice Removal - What Is The Best Way?

Head lice removal is an urgent issue because though these insects do not create any further complicated disease, but they are definitely an inconvenience. After all, who likes to roam around and live with pests crawling all over? Also, head lice are a social embarrassment, and they can pass on from one person to another too through direct contact. So there is unanimity that head lice treatment is not only desirable, but it is an urgent need.

But how to go about doing it? What is the best way of head lice removal? Some people might believe in simply finding these pests and killing them physically. Search and destroy! But this might not be the best way. And that is because if the lice are being killed, then each and every one needs to be eliminated. Not even one insect or even one egg should be left behind. Because even if one is left behind, they will soon come back again to create the problem anew. Now this is an absolutely impossible task to achieve. Remember, these insects are so small that they can hardly be seen, and the eggs are even smaller. So head lice removal by killing them off is ruled out.

Another head lice treatment approach is to shave the head off and remove all the hair. This is obviously more effective as the lice slings on to the hair using their 2 frontal legs (they have 6 legs in total). But how practical is it to shave the hair off - the child may not agree to this as well. Actually such a drastic measure is not needed as there are more practical head lice removal methods available that are effective as well.

Head Lice Removal - The Natural Way

Over the last decade or so, a lot of research has been undertaken to find out whether head lice removal can be achieved by using a natural product or not? And the answers have been positive. Some very effective natural oils are now available that have been scientifically developed using plant extracts and these natural oils are to be applied on the scalp - only a few drops are all that is needed. And the best news is that these natural head lice removal oils do not have any chemical fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides. They are safe for kids as young a 4 years of age.
