Usually, a one-sided or migraine headache is considered a Liver/Gall Bladder headache. This condition sometimes includes chronic neck and shoulder tension as well. Although it may feel like it, a headache is not a pain in your brain. Your brain tells you when other parts of your body hurt, but it can't actually feel pain. A tension-type headache is a recurrent headache that is causes a pressing/tightening type pain (not throbbing) and usually happens all over the head. Some people say that it feels like a band tightening around their head.

Complication of Headache

In the secondary type, the headache is adjudged to be due solely to a process of disease within the brain. Headache often accompanies the neurological complications that may occur in Behr's disease, of which there are three main types: inflammation within the brain (meningoencephalitis), inflammation of the lining of the brain (meningitis) and a disturbance of blood drainage from the brain leading to an increased pressure in the brain (intracranial venous sinus thrombosis). Tension headache is more prevalent among women than men. Cluster headaches primarily affect men between the ages of 20 and 40.

Sinus Headache

A sinus headache is a headache that occurs when the sinuses become congested. The sinuses are the bony, air-filled cavities in the head that connect to the nose through small openings. An ice cream headache is also called a brain freeze. Cluster headache is also unusual because it is thought to predominantly affect men. In this paper, I use cluster headache as a lens for understanding the intersection between pain, masculinity and the biomedical construction of diagnosis.

How to Distinguish Among Various Types of Headaches

One important feature that helps distinguish among different types of headache is the quality of the pain: whether it is sharp, dull, constant, intermittent, or pounding. It is concluded that attack of severe thunderclap headache is not an uncommon condition seen by Medical House officers in the Casualty department. Attack due to SAH or other serious underlying disease cannot be distinguished from non specific headaches on clinical grounds alone. Drug-associated headache is a difficult diagnosis which deserves more attention because it is a common and treatable condition.
