Call Of Duty 4 - Headshots Guide

This is my call of duty 4 headshots guide. Some of you might have seen it I put it on Gamelosophy, I just wanted to help more people and spread the word by putting it on here!
For the Infinity Ward / Activision game "Call Of Duty 4 - Modern Warefare" , here is some help to get headshots with weapons.
Headshots unlock new camos for your weapons, and getting a lot of headshots on a lot of weapons can get you a golden weapon.
Here are the stuff you can unlock.
25 headshots on a weapon = Digital Camo
100 headshots on a weapon (50 for shotguns) = Blue Camo
150 headshots on a weapon (100 for shotguns) = Red Camo
Completing all marksman missions and headshot (expert) missions in one class (Assault rifle, SMG, LMG, Shotgun and sniper rifle) can get you a golden camo on a weapon.
Golden Assault Rifle: AK-47
Golden SMG: Mini-uzi
Golden LMG: M104e (third gun)
Golden shotgun: M1604 (second gun)
Golden sniper rifle: Dragonuv.
Getting headshots can be hard.. some tactics that I used to get a golden SMG in under 10 hours of play (spread out though a week) are...
- Fire from the hip, not barrel view.
- Aim to the head (OBVIOUSLY!)
- Try to sneak up on snipers and aim to their head (take your time, they are busy on other stuff)
- Play free-for-all and ground war.
- Use steady aim and stopping power perks.
- Use a silencer, I found that it helped me get more headshots.

if you have a mic go to cage match and say(hay do you want to get head shots ?) and if thay say yes go to the middel of the mapp and take terns killing each other fast and esey head shots GOOD LUCK!
Just adding another hint... when you junlock cage match and clan tag, type "hed?" or "HED?" or "head" etc and go on cage match and keep entering and exiting the lobby until you find someone else with that clan tag. They should then allow you to take it in turns to shoot each other in the head
NOTE A: Sometimes they forget to change the clan tag and want to play normal
NOTE B: They may cheat
NOTE C: Don't use a silencer, and martyrdom doesn't help because it's a wasted kill. Shoot to let each other know where you both are and then you will probably find a location you stay in (e.g the hill in the middle on bog, the statue on Showdown, The platform outside the big rooms on Vacant.

Doing a cage match for the sole purpose of leveling or getting headshots (ie, you agree with the other person to take turns getting headshots) just cheapens your golden gun, or your level, IMHO. It's taken me almost 3 days worth of game-time, spread over 6 months, to get a golden AR and SMG. To get it by taking turns is just cheap, and honestly, I consider it cheating.
i've found the best method is to aim the sight at the head, the red dot sight is very good for this because all you need to do is aim so that the red dot is on the enemies head.

I have gotten a lot of head shots using the red dot sight. I find that it is easier to aim than the iron sights. playing domination is probably one of the best ways to get head shots. gaurd flag A or C (too much action at B) and just wait for someone to try to capture. UAV jammer helps with this strategy.
i have also found that sabatoge with extreme conditioning, uav jammer, smoke, and 3 frags work well together if they have snippers. create a diversion, run around the oustide of a level and sneak up behind them. In sabatoge, they have a count down until they can respawn, which gives you more time too sneak up on others before they find you.

when looking for guys to do head shots with you on cage matches,you might get some rude replies...
you should get more luck if your clan tag is "HS*3" it works for me i hve every golden gun

What you people are forgetting is that not only is marijuana illegal but it's actually against the law. Marijuana wrecks lives! Last year in the US over 16 million people where critically injured as a result of smoking weed and that was only 12% more than the Mexican government predicted.
just do cage match and ask to do headshots with the person. I did it and i have dragunov in gold ad mini uzi in gold!
i've found the best way for shottys is to use grip & steady aim and aim the lower bit of the crosshairs just below the chin. For ARs, SMGs and LMGs I just use a red dot sight and spray! :P
i have all my gold weapons except the dragonov, i got them by playing free for all and using 3 stun grenades, dead silence and stopping power works great and it not cheating like the one who go to cage match and ask for head shots like lil bitches. the have no skill and u can tell cus they get distroyed in games with their fake golden guns.....earn ur the hard way, it much more forfilling

the only real trouble is using the mp44 for headshots as it doesnt have rds and you cant silence it to sneak up on snipers either.
tip for snipers: put juggernaught on. still i one hit kill with a headshot (thats all you want) and helps you live a little longer to get your aim together.
try playing Mercenary team deathmatch mainly for sniping. i use stopping power, iron lungs and claymore and try to play on maps with great sniping positins like bloc and overgrown. try and find the main sniping positions and shoot only when u aim on the head otherwise its useless getting the kill becuase the enemy knows ur position. this is how i got the golden dragonuv in about 2 days playing 3 hours a day, pretty fast and easy tip
Can i have tips for getting headshots for SMG's and MP44, and M16 cuzz i practically am very bad with those specially uzi
Im so good, I just shoot for the head and snipe every time. no one can kill me im the best losssers i pwn!!!!
I got the golden dragonuv, just make sure u get the good sniper positions and try and headshot the people on the opposite side of the map quickly, for example on overgrown, if u start by the fence, aim straight for the broken building where snipers hide, take your time, and make sure your conceled, also use deep impact and if there hiding behind a wall judge where there head is, tends to work also :) p.s took me about 3 days of playing about 3-4 hours to get the dragonuv, without cheating ...
This class got me all my Barret and W1200 headshots:
Primary: Barret .50cal
Secondary:W1200
Special Grenade:
Perk 1:Claymores
Perk 2:Overkill
Perk 3:Last Stand
Set a claymore at the top of some stairs, do a bit of sniping. When you get a claymore kill lay another one (switch to your shotgun while you set it up). When you get a second claymore kill you know someone is trying to hunt you down, next time they come running up the stairs, suprise em with your shotgun, and because you are aiming down on them from the top of the stairs you have a better chance of getting a headshot.
It`s 75 Hs for getting BlueTiger
A setup that seems to be working for me is a M16A4 with red dot.
1. Claymore x2
2. UAV Jammer
3. Deep Impact

This game is terrible when not on Hardcore Mode. It's almost like Halo. Shooting someone 9 times to get a kill is terrible.
me and my friend took turns, when did a cage match and every time one of us kills the other we let the other kill us by standing perfectly still.
we both had headsets and did this for each gun till both of us unlocked all golden weapons, yea it was cheep, but i don't care.
if you focus too much on getting head shots in normal games, you will be killed more often.
DavidMac is right, Harcdore is one bullet kill (With Stopping Power). I played domination yesterday, with an AK-47 and Stopping Power and it to0k an entire magazine to kill him.
9 shots average? sure, if 6 of them miss. ak-47 (the example) with SP is 3 hits kill, almost any circumstance. i use m14 with SP, two hit kill NO MATTER WHAT. 1 in head and neck.
Silenced Weapon, Stun, UAV, Dead Silence. You're like a ninja. Use the stun, to put the enemy in slow motion, then run up for the easy headshot.
woop woop sinper is very easy i have had it 5 times now the lastest i got it in 2days (under 10h). Game mode wise TD,HQ and domination are the best. Don't play hardcore for head shots as body shots do too much damage and may kill them. BTW doing headshots in cage matches is classed as cheating by Infinity Ward.
