Deep Breathing Exercise: Sit or lie down on a quiet and comfortable place. Close your eyes and create an image that evokes a feeling of wholeness, joy and peace. This could be a beautiful, natural scene with mountains or a valley, the waves of the ocean, the sun's bright rays. Breathe in this complete image, until you feel its fresh, positive energy permeating throughout your entire body and mind. Breathe in slowly and deeply through your nose, counting to six. Hold breath while slowly counting to six. Exhale slowly through your mouth, slowly counting to eight. Open your eyes and enjoy your feelings of renewed vigor. Repeat this exercise several times a day. You can practice this breathing exercise while sitting at your office desk, waiting in line sitting, while sitting in traffic and before going to bed.
