What Is Glucosamine

Glucosamine is a natural compound found in healthy cartilage. It plays a major role in formation and maintanence of healthy cartilage. It is widely known for its ability to promote joint flexibility. This allows for a very wide amount of uses for the drug.

Arthritis

Arthritis is the deterioration of the cartilage in the joints. It has been shown that individuals who supplement with glucosamine are less likely to suffer from arthritis. On the other hand if an individual has arthritis it slows down the deterioration process of the joints tremendously and should supplement with glucosamine.

Joint Flexiblity

For athletes, namely baseball pitchers who may have damaged the cartilage in their joints or are just naturally inflexible should supplement with glucosamine. This will improve their flexibility and promote fast healing to the damaged cartilage.

Inflammation

Glucosamine also has inflammation fighting properties. People suffering from inflammation in their joints need to be supplementing with glucosamine. This will reduce the pain and the inflammation.

Synovial Fluid

Synovial fluid is the fluid that is found in the cavities of synovial joints. It plays a major role in the lubrication of joints allowing them to move without pain. When a person is not producing enough synovial fluid around their joints the area becomes inflammed and iritated due to the friction created by a lack of lubricating synovial fluid. Taking glucosamine has been shown to produce big increases in the amount of synovial fluid around the joints. Thus reducing inflammation and pain because it allows the joint to move freely.

Yeah its a good one - I don't believe in supplements and vitamines in general unless Im run down and sick but Glaucosamene is well worth taking - the evidence appears that it almost certainly does good and it may well be significant good
