Salmon is a species of fish which is found both in fresh water (rivers) and salty water (seas). The salmons lay their eggs near the mouth of the rivers; eggs hatch there, develop into fries and start their journey towards seas. They grow in the seas into adult salmons and again go back to the rivers to reproduce, where most of them die after laying eggs.

Salmon is a favorite ingredient in many sushi restaurant because of it unique yet mild flavor and it healthful benefits. Salmon contains a high level of vitamins A, B, C, D, E, niacin, potassium, zinc, iron, and calcium. Eating a serving of salmon is sometimes more beneficial than taking a multi-vitamin in pill form. Fresh salmon is cooked in many different ways, and it doesn't dry out as easily as many other fish. It comes fresh, frozen, smoked, and canned.
