Inside The Baobab

Outside The Fruit

The Power of C

I had planned to start this hub one way until I read the news feed within the hub. Well it is a great way to make a point.. Notice the exotic fruit (Baobab) that is suppose to have six times more vitamin C than an orange. That has to be an awesome piece of fruit. My question is, how long will it take to reach the US? More importantly what is a baobab? There's the light bulb--research.

I had never heard of such a fruit or its tree, but I learned it can survive extremely harsh, and dry climate. The trees are found in parts of Africa, Zimbabwe, Madagascar and Australia. These are some of the places I was able to locate this strange, odd, and very weird looking tree.

It can survive in extreme heat due to it lives in deserts.

The Knowledge of C

Of all the vitamins, vitamin C is the most sensitive and losing strength when exposed to air. This nutrient is commonly known for its ability to help reduce common cold symptoms. The other common knowledge about vitamin c is it being a power antioxidant.

Some of the more uncommon facts about vitamin C is its ability to strength arteries, which is a great benefit for heart patients. Vitamin C also has properties within it to help prevent blood from clotting.

Individuals who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease before a medication regiment is started; it is possible vitamin C can retard the rate of progression.

I would love to try the baobab but it doesn't look to safe for anyone to try and climb that monster of a tree. They must use a crane or something.

I think when the fruit is ripe they fall from the tree, don't quote me on that, but yes it is a monster of a tree.
