Health Care

The Health Care situation in America is a problem and definately not a easy one to solve. The answer is not a health plan ran by our government.  The reason why is it will cost far more than they are estimating. A government program always does cost more than estimated. I think we as Americans should do several things to lower the cost of health care. The first step would be a good samaritan law for doctors. Malpractice insurance for a doctor averages $200,000 a year. That expense is passed on to the patient.

The second step should be getting health insurance policy with a higher deductable, and the money you would be saving should go into a Health Savings Account.  the majority of Americans maybe see the doctor 5 times a year. I could live with paying $75 a visit out of pocket from my health savings account, for what the savings on insurance premiums would be.

The final step would be preventive health. Eating healthy, and getting a moderate amount of exercise. This would lower your chances of heart, blood pressure, and diabetic issues. If you have one of these health issues exercise and diet can greatly help manage it. I speak from experience. My blood pressure has lowered due to diet and excercise.  In conclusion our lifestyles is a matter of choice and self responsibility.
