Fish, those slippery suckers have so many health benefits. Speaking from seafood lovers point of view I don’t need a reason to eat fish but one of the main reasons I eat it personally is its good to have a varied diet and seafood and fish is a great alternative protein source if you’re a big meat eater.

Dosage

For adults take 1 to 2 Capsules 3 times daily , with meals or as prescribed

this gives you roughly 1080mg of EPA and 720mg of DHA when taking a regular 1000mg per capsule fish oil supplement.

For more serious conditions involving skin problems or arthritis, its ok to take up to 10 1000mg capsules a day.

Fishy Business - Side Effects of Fish Oil

Mercury Many people worry about the mercury found in some fish as mercury is naturally occurring in our oceans and can be hard to avoid. Children should definitely avoid any sort of fish that may contain mercury as it presents a danger for young children.

Some fish that usually contain high amounts of mercury include shark , swordfish, orange roughy (sea perch and blue fin tuna. A good way to avoid mercury would be to buy farmed fish preferably ones being fed on an organic natural diet which will ensure high quality oils being produced in the fish. Otherwise a good fish oil that has been tested for mercury can be a good way to get your fish oil intake.
