So you will need:
*4 cups low sodium chicken broth
*1-2 carrots
*1/4 cup shaped pasta
*1 zucchini
*Dash of sage
*Salt and pepper to taste
*3/4 cup chopped, cooked chicken
Offer your kid to count the carrots, or let them spell their names
With the noodles; you can engage them in any way they may like or be interested in. The main idea is to keep them interested and enjoying the process.
*Cut the vegetables into 1/4-inch slices.
*Scrub the carrots and zucchini lightly with a vegetable brush.
*Cut star shapes out of the carrot & zucchini and set them aside.
*In a medium sized pot, bring the broth to a simmer over medium heat. Then add carrot. Simmer for about 3-5 minutes until carrots start to become tender.
*Add the pasta, zucchini and chicken. Keep cooking for some few minutes more.
*Stir occasionally until the pasta is done.
The whole preparation makes 4 servings.
