A Healthy Smoothie Consisting of Bananas and Date

This is one of the most common healthy smoothie recipe that is very simple to make in very short amount of time. It contains lots of vitamins, minerals including iron and protein, both in rich quantity. This smoothie recipe is best for those who are having iron deficiency and also for those who want to put on some extra weight. Because of the combination of milk, bananas and dates, this smoothie delivers an excellent healthy drink which can be prepared at home very quickly. So don't waste your time in cooking healthy foods just cut, mix, shake and blend to get a healthy and nutritious smoothie drink.


Ingredients Required :

  • 1 cup banana (cut into small pieces)
  • 1/4 cup soft dates
  • 1/2 cup condensed milk
  • 2 cup skim milk

Procedure:

  1. At first put banana pieces and dates with half quantity of milk in blender to make a smooth paste. Use a decent power (over 300 watts) electric blender so that it blends all the ingredients without leaving chunks of fruits behind. A countertop blender is preferred for making smoothies easily and more effectively. If you do not have one you can easily order blender online.
  2. Now add rest of the ingredients in the blender and make fine paste of smoothie.
  3. Pour the smoothie in serving glasses and garnish it with some slices of bananaa, dates or even with mint leaves as shown in the above smoothie photo. Enjoy your delicious healthy smoothie.


Smoothie Making Tip :

To make smoothies more effectively, always blend fruits first so that smooth paste is formed and all the pieces of fruits mash and blend well.
