Healthy Eating
57We hear a lot about healthy eating these days - on the television, on the radio, even in the magazines. This is because a lot of attention is now being paid to the fact that over fifty percent of America's population is overweight. Healthy eating however doesn't have to be the tasteless foods or the much hated green stuff that many of us do not like. You could continue to eat all the things you love and still say that you at eating healthy. I learned a lot more about what is health and what isnt when I checked out this bodybuilding website.
The key to healthy eating is to make sure you get a little of all the food groups into your diet without overeating. Most people usually tend to over eat either too much carbohydrates or too much protein in their diets - they do not usually know how to match the portions. Many people also leave out important food groups from their diets on a daily basis, and end up feeding their bodies with too much of one thing and too little of another. This sets the body up for nutrient deficiencies - which is its cry to you to pay more attention to the food it needs.
Most of all, if you want to start healthy eating then you have to cut back on the oily foods, the starchy foods, and the snacks! Avoid those tendencies to sneak into the kitchen for a midnight snack; resist the urge to buy that large side; try cooking with less oil than you are accustomed to. These small changes do indeed work wonders on your eating habits as well as your cooking habits. And small changes do in fact turn into bigger ones. So as long as you keep practicing these, you will no longer be tempted by that hot fudge chocolate cake that you could never have resisted. No longer will the greasy fast food and take out foods appeal to you. And the best part is that no longer will you suffer your body in the long run for a moment of ‘sinful' satisfaction now.
Finally, the point of healthy eating for any individual is so that the incidence of food-related diseases could be avoided later on in life. Many do not realize however that healthy eating also makes our bodies stronger now so that we do not get sick as often or fall ill to every new flu or virus that passes through our homes.

I do believe healthy eating and moderate snacking is the key to long term health. Being in a family where more than half of my family members are diabetic, i have learnt to respect the complex nature of our body and respect its signs and nuances.
I'm also an advocate of body building, being in this circle for over 20 years. It has kept me young and healthy. Keep the articles coming, my friend. We could sure use more information in this madness of technology, fastfood and desserts.
