You may even want to design part of the tattoo yourself to have a little of your own style included.

Heart tattoo designs can be very elaborate or very simple depending on what is desired (and what the customer is willing to spend). They can be as intricate or plain as necessary.

Hearts are ideal for any place on the body and are also great for any type of style or skin tone.

Before the Tattoo Begins...

There are many different types of tattoos to choose from.  Whether you want a permanent or a temporary tattoo, any local artist should have a huge variety of styles and designs you can choose from. After perusing through their massive collections of styles such as henna, celtic, and tribal, you can select one of the tattooist's collection or have them design a unique one for you based on the style (or combination of styles) you like best.

Tell the artist a little bit about what type of story you want to depict before they begin your design. If they are a really good tattooist, they should be able to create an ideal tattoo that tells your story.

When the artist completes their design, they should let you review and modify it to your liking. Do not hesitate to let them know you do not like it or you want changes (especially if you are getting a permanent tattoo). Remember, the cavas is YOUR body. You are the one that has to live with the tattoo. Be sure it is what you want before you proceed with the tattoo.
