Just as there are three hells when God is dealing with man, there are also three heavens, and this also goes in line with why man is made up of three things also Spirit Soul and Body, and this again leads to Gods make up Farther, Word and Holy Spirit.

THE THREE HEAVENS
2Co:12:2: I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.
2Co:12:3: And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)
2Co:12:4: How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

First, heaven the atmosphere around the earth (Heb. " Rakia ")

Made on second day of creation
Ge:1:6: And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
Ge:1:8: And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

Where birds fly
Jer:8:7: Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD.

Where clouds float.
Jer:10:13: When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.

Where rain and snow originate
Isa:55:10: For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

Pass away some day.
M't:5:18: For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Job:14:12: So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.

2Pe:3:10: But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Re:6:14: And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

M't:24:35: Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

To be made new again.
Re:21:1: And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Second heaven, the universe (Heb. " Shamayim ")

Psalms:8:3: When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

Psalms:19:1: The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Psalms:19:2: Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
Psalms:19:3: There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
Psalms:19:4: Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
Psalms:19:5: Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
Psalms:19:6: His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

Moon Queen of Heaven
Jer:44:17: But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.
er:44:25: Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.

Job:26:13: By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.
Job:26:14: Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?

M't:24:29: Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

Third heaven, where God dwells (Heb. " Shemi- Hashama-yim ")

M't:6:9: After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

The Heaven of Heavens
1Ki:8:27: But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?

The Holy Habitation
De:26:15: Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

Thy dwelling place
2Ch:6:33: Then hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for; that all people of the earth may know thy name, and fear thee, as doth thy people Israel, and may know that this house which I have built is called by thy name.

God is in Heaven
Ec:5:2: Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.

Paradise is the third heaven, and where God dwells.

Tree of Life is in the midst of Paradise
Re:2:7: He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

The Tree of Life is by the River of Life
Re:22:2: In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

The River of Lrfe is by the Throne of God.
Re:22:1: And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

Paradrse is where the Throne of God is located.

Heaven is a Place.
Joh:14:1: Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
Joh:14:2: In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Joh:14:3: And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Christ is in heaven now
Heb:6:20: Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
Eph:4:10: He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.

Wants us there.
Joh:17:24: Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

Psalms:73:25: Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.

Eph:3:15: Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

1Pe:1:4: To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

God’s Word is settled there.
Psalms:119:89: For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

WE SHALL KNOW EACH OTHER THERE

1Co:13:12: For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

Names written there
Heb:12:23: To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

Will be like Jesus
1Jo:3:1: Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
1Jo:3:2: Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Our bodies like His.
Ph'p:3:20: For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
Ph'p:3:21: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Jesus KNOWN after His Resurrection, they saw him and heard him

Stephen knew Jesus
Ac:7:55: But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

Job:19:23: Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book!
Job:19:24: That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!
Job:19:25: For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
Job:19:26: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
Job:19:27: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

Lu:10:20: Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
