My Hero

You may or may not be a fan of the MTV show 'The Hills', which stars Heidi Montag, a young, spoiled lady with nothing better to do that obsess over her body and eliminate any form of deeper thought from her life. This is the story of how Heidi went from a sad, pathetic, desperate attention seeking girl who was unhappy with her body, to being a sad, pathetic, desperate attention seeking girl with bigger breasts and a new nose. If you've ever thought about plastic surgery, read this. It will change your life.

This is Heidi sharing her feelings on the results of the plastic surgery that rescued her chest and carved her nose into a more socially acceptable shape:

"I've always been very insecure about my body. My whole life, I looked at my chest and was like, OK, they're going to grow. This is my year! And it never happened. I was less than an A-cup. I wore pushup bras, which cut into my skin. If I was with a guy and there was a girl next to me with big boobs, I would be like, Oh, my God, he's looking at her! On the beach, if I was standing next to a girl with big boobs, I'd be like, I hate her! I hated my nose too. I have my dad's nose, which is huge. It took up so much of my face, when I looked down, I could see my nose. I couldn't get away from it!"

The pain. The torment. Can you imagine what it must be like to hate another girl merely because of the size of her mammaries? Or to always be fixated on the fact that the fine young man you were dating might be attracted to another young lady because of her breast size? In a world where personality and intelligence are worth less than dirt, appearance reigns supreme. Just think about how hard it must be growing up imperfect in such a world.

Now that Heidi has had plastic surgery, she no longer needs to worry about losing her man to a pair of bigger breasts, or worrying that her nose is too big and distracting people from her breasts. Now she is free. Free to be happy. Free to live the life she has always wanted. This is a beautiful story. A tale of true courage. A tale of commitment to appearance above and beyond the call of natural duty. But let us remember that this was no easy road for Heidi. Like many inspirational leaders, she suffered for what she believed in.

Sure, there are parts of the globe where children are starving due to malnutrition and preventable disease, but suffering is universal. Let us not dismiss the pain of these young women who must undergo the surgeon's knife and have the very tissue of their bodies sliced, diced, stretched, and carved until they can truly feel good about themselves.

I want to write more, but I can't. I'm crying tears of pure joy and sympathy for what she has been through. I'm crying so many tears that they are starting to pool up and short out my keyboard, oh god Heidi, you are my hero!
