Boom, Boom, Meow

Consider if you will, the very word, “boombox.” It hardly conjures images of signs reading, “Quiet please, humans trying to think.” No, indeed; it’s boom time and boom it does, day, night, afternoon, all day, all afternoon and all night long if you are not careful. Before you buy a Hello Kitty Boombox, you might want to think about alternative places to hide while it’s doing its very loud thing with the kids. But then again, the stereo headphone jack offers some solace to the adults in the household who prefer not to boom-boom their way into dreamland.

The children in your family ages six years and up will simply flip over the Hello Kitty Boom Box. This pink and white CD player offers many cool features, including a front-loading CD player with a 20-track programmable memory and CD-R/RW playback for continuous play. If you couldn’t stand listening to the song once, be assured you will like it no better the second, third, fourth and fifth time you hear it! It also has a recorder, which will allow your children to record favorite sound-barrier busters for the posterity of puberty! As a parent, or at least a consenting adult with working eardrums, you may need some plugs yourself as the kids jam to their favorite tunes and you seek a way to close a door and minimize the traveling sounds of the Hello Kitty Boombox.

Most reviews of the Hello kitty Boombox give this product a thumbs up. The downside concerns the difficulty of using homemade CDs and the fact that some say the enclosed manual is not clearly written. The Hello Kitty Boombox is durable and outlasts other CD players. It reads even scratched CDs and small children can operate the cassette buttons easily. If you don’t like pink, then the Hello Kitty Boombox will not be easy on your eyes, but if you do, you will be happy. The boombox does not have a bulky look to it, and it fits nicely on the top of most kids’ dressers. It is said to have an adequate volume range for bedtime music, but I would check out definitions of “soft music” and make sure the headphones and the jack they fit into are available before you are ready to go to sleep.

The Hello Kitty Boombox can be yours for about $60 dollars. It utilizes 8 “C” Batteries (which are not included) or AC power. Imported from China, the Hello Kitty Boombox comes with a limited warranty. It does not come, however, with recommendations on where to buy earplugs or if necessary, another set of ears!

May the Hello Kitty Boombox be a boon and not a boom to your existence!
