No Rest For The Weary

Just when you thought you already bought all of the Hello Kitty products out there for the delight of your children and grandchildren, take a short nap and wake up to find that they have once again multiplied. This time, they should be approached with discretion, as all that is Hello Kitty, alas, is not gold (or something like that). The Hello Kitty DVD Player has some problems, one of which is not being positively adorable and charming to those who love all of the Hello kitty products. But does it work well? you may wonder, perhaps to the amazement of others. Or is that too much to ask? Well, the answer may or may not surprise you. Read on, if you dare.

Any fan of the Hello Kitty Line (and one would have to be in a coma not to notice these products) will adore this stylish pink appliance with the familiar outline of Hello Kitty on its side. The Hello Kitty DVD Player works with DVD/video and picture CD disks. Some of its features include: a slot loading design, easy-to-read fluorescent display, stereo audio and component-video output terminals, a vertical mounting stand and its own remote control, which you are sure to not confuse with the others in your house unless they are pink as well.

The Hello Kitty DVD Player has met with mixed reviews. While all who bought it agree that it couldn’t be cuter, there are some who have complained about its functionality. It is said to skip very often and not to My Lou either. It is very easy to use, and on its good side, it indirectly gives a child some small measure of independence as your little girl can listen to her favorite videos in the privacy of her own room! It is also a very durable little machine that stands up to a child’s wear and tear treatment (It shouldn’t be thrown upon the floor and stomped upon. Reserve such behavior for recalcitrant friends and neighbors.)

Some reviewers of the Hello Kitty DVD Player claim the functions could use some polishing. As it stands, if you are listening to a DVD on the Hello Kitty DVD Player and are interrupted in mid song, there is no way to return to your exact spot once you turn it off. You must seek your exact place by using the chapter select function, which can be a pain in areas too impolite to mention.

Should you buy a Hello Kitty DVD Player?

Don’t ask me!
