Since pilewort has a bitter taste, Padanius recommended that it should be taken with wine when taking it internally.

You can get ready-made pilewort creams from your health food store.  However, it is doubtful that manufacturers will have the insight to harvest it in early summer and allow time for "molding" before they turn it into a cream.

Since the herb is so inexpensive and the process is so simple, it may be just as easy for you to make your own hemorrhoid cream.
