Hemroids are agonizing, painful and a social embarrassment. But what can the human population do about it, after all we have suffered from the condition for thousands of years?

But luckily, they are neither fatal nor life-threatening. And counting on this, there are many remedies offered that range from natural oils to over the counter medications to topical applications and home remedies. Some even take a holistic approach to the topic and suggests ‘yoga' as a successful cure for Hemroids. But in recent years, alternative line of Hemroids treatment is also flourishing in the United States.

Hemroids may be treated at home by a simple method involving siltz bath. Here the affected person sits in lukewarm water to which a pinch of iodine has been added for 20 - 25 minutes, the process repeated every day till relief is obtained. Since alcohol and smoking aggravates the symptoms, these may be avoided during the treatment and the patient is given food that is rich in fiber. Also recommended are soft foods, fruit juices and plenty of water.

Moderate but not large quantities of fiber and fluids in the diet can help relieve Hemroids symptoms because fiber and water softens the stool while increasing its bulk, and at the same time decrease pressure on the veins. This in turn reduces straining while passing stool and thus relaxes the anus. Drinking of water, at least six to eight glasses per day, according to experts, is quite helpful in reducing the itching and pain that is associated with the disease.

Hemroids Treatment - Some Other Options

Other non-surgical ways of treatment involves tying of a rubber band around the affected vein, thereby blocking its blood circulation. This method of treatment was quite popular in the olden days when surgeons seldom interfered with affected veins within the anorectal areas. Also popular was the Coagulation therapy in which the affected tissues were eliminated to reduce the symptoms while Scleotherapy involved injecting chemicals in order to get rid of Hemroids.

However, Laser treatment of Hemroids is perhaps the best non-intrusive method to get rid of Hemroids in a fast way. And the advantage of using laser beam with Hemroids laser treatment in the hands of an accomplished surgeon is a safe precision affair. Here the laser works by sealing off all small blood vessels and nerves with its invisible beam. As the nerve endings are closed, the patient hardly feels any pain while the surgeon operates in a safe environment without so much blood around. However this line of treatment might be quite costly.

Hemroids Treatment - Natural Options

In recent years some natural medications have also come out and these treatment options are reportedly also giving good results. They are safe and can cure Hemroids quickly too.
