My Initial Impression of Herbal Magic®
I find it interesting that many weight loss plans, books, and products throw the word magic into the title. If there was ever anything, so un-magical it would be weight loss—it is pure exercise and nutrition science! That’s just a pet peeve of mine that I had to get out of the way before talking about Herbal Magic®.
Herbal Magic® is a weight loss and nutrition center that maintains a network across Canada. The centers are advertised on the company’s website as a place to go for products designed to fit individual lifestyles to help you lose weight in a natural way. Actually, it looks as though there are only six different weight loss methods—so there really isn’t weight loss plans available for EVERY individual.
The Herbal Magic® plan uses a regimen of herbal and food supplements that are said to ensure success during the weight loss, stabilization, and maintenance phases. The staff are claimed to be experts at helping clients figure out which products are right for them. The supplements are purported to be made with the freshest, purest ingredients, and have been certified for potency and purity. Each of the “individual” Herbal Magic® weight loss programs combines real food, a personal coach, and natural products. The center emphasizes that the combination of the three program elements will work alongside a person’s motivation to deliver lasting results.
Herbal Magic Ingredients & What the Manufacturer Says They Will Do
I decided to take a closer look at one of the individual programs to ascertain the validity of the weight loss method Herbal Magic® promotes. The QLP I is for the individual who has less than 60 pounds to lose and are under 65 years old. QLP I is claimed to give the client easy-to-follow guidance on portion size and natural products. I presume the natural products are herbal supplements that use ingredients to promote appetite suppression, fat burning, and metabolism support. The daily meal plan includes appropriate-sized servings from the food groups. A weekly appointment with a personal coach monitors progress (weigh-in?), a food journal review, and lifestyle adjustment advice.
The plan is divided into three phases—weight loss, stabilization, and maintenance. There isn’t any information provided on the specifics of each phase, but I presume that after you have committed your dollars to the program, the “magic” begins.
The Main Drawbacks to Herbal Magic®
Herbal Magic® appears to only be located in Canada, so that will propose a challenge for United States citizens. There are several elements of the program that I feel need to be disclosed before determining whether it is a viable weight loss program. For instance, the weight loss supplements that are referred to on the site aren’t referred to in detail. I didn’t come across any initial recommendation on the weight loss program being combined with daily exercise, but I’m guessing the coach would go into detail about that pivotal element in weight loss.
Would I try Herbal Magic®?
I personally do not feel the need to have a coach for weight loss, there is enough information available on the internet to coach anyone on weight loss—the key is putting what you learn into shoe leather.
What Others Are Saying About Herbal Magic®
Even though Herbal Magic® is a Canadian based center, I imagine you could locate reviews about the program in some of the reputable weight loss information sites.
