Here come the retractions
65Gore and Google, Oh NO!!
It seems that the Rush fiasco is not over by far. Rush on his show the other day said he was working on the problem behind the scenes, probably with the threat of legal action. Well the Huffington Post has started the process. They have withdrawn the quotes after giving the author 24 hours to substantiate his claims. Apparently he didn't so the quotes were taken down.
Rick Sanchez apparently was prepared to make a retraction but was unable to because of the Boy in Balloon story. It is said that he twittered "me bad" or something close to this as an apology. It does appear that his legal team has started something and we may see unfold in the days to come. I don't know how this guy is still in the business. He was the anchor at WSVN, Channel 7 in Miami, Florida years back and he was a "yolk". He ran into some trouble in Miami and pretty much got away with it. No wonder he is working for MSNBC.
Something interesting came up, that if true, is worrisome. Al Gore advising Google on search quality? Ok, this is something that can be construed as tilting the balance towards the left. Can you just imagine is Google manipulates the search results to benefit the Democratic party. As an example let's say you search the Republican Party and the search gears it to come up with negative results but when the Democratic Party is searched, you come up with mostly positive results? Get the picture? I am not sure how true this is but just because Al Gore is involved makes you wonder what advise he gave to Google. I have linked to NewsBuster.org for this and other stories that seem interesting.
Also compare some comments NFL owners have made. Link below.
I report, you decide.

I was listening to The O'Reiley Factor while I was on the computer just now. Juan Williams is the guest host and he was on last nights show. They were talking about the Rush fiasco and Juan agreed that Rush is not a racist. He said today is being attacked as Fox's house negro, and he's not too happy about it.
Pop, you are right. Our voices need to be heard and hopefully people will start seeing the division that is being created.
Tom, I was looking at that same segment and he was not to happy, and he leans liberal. I also saw the pastor that is Rush's friend and played for the NFL, forgot his name, and he is putting himself out there also just for defending Rush. It was an interesting point that there is some connection to the WH or something. Wasn't able to catch the complete segment. God Help us all!
They already have MSN, and now they are after google. We are screwed.
Keep on hubbing!
That's why I love Fox News - I get to hear liberals WITH A BRAIN like Jaun Williams. I hardly ever agree with him - but I like to listen to him and HEAR what he's saying because he has intelligence and uses REASON. Usually lefties are SO out there I can't listen to them because I'm so distracted by how stupid they sound. Anyway - I use Google EVERY day, but I read in the Wall Street Journal that Al Gore IS very much involved with Google - and sure enough - Google does the "green" thing all the time. And they had anti-Bush "searches" when W was president. When you put the President's name into the search and clicked "I'm feeling Lucky" underneath ALL of these anti-Bush articles used to come up. Now - it just goes to a Wikapedia article about the former President.
I think I'm going to have to go back to Yahoo or some other search engine. I'm just not willing to line the pockets of Al Gore so he can become more and more powerful and rich om all the lies he promotes.
Thanks for this article - as Breakfastpop says - THIS IS A WAKE-UP CALL! Great informative Hub!
I hear now that the way the MSM is going to spin it is that they didn't cause any damage to Rush because it was Rush who brought the whole thing up on his radio show in the first place. So they're not really guilty of any kind of slander or libel. Can you believe these guys? I hope Rush sues them all into the ground just for their arogance. Good hub.
ehern,, thanks for another great hub..
eovery, thanks for visiting. I feel like I am watching a bad movie and we are the main characters.
cjv123, I pretty much use yahoo most of the times but it is a sad day where the information we get could be manipukated to benefit a certain ideology or predetermined result. This is something I fear. Thanks for stopping by.
Madame X, I didn't expect anything other than a spin from them. Will journalism ever recover from this and actually provide us with nbiased news? Appreciate you taking the time to visit and commenting.
greatAmerican, No, thank you for taking the time to come visit this weekend. I always appreciate your visits.
Nice hub Ehern. Thanks.
rsmallory, I appreciate you taking the time to read my thoguhts and views.
Remember Obama's inspiring speeches about how only he could bring both sides to the table, help them come together and learn to work side by side as a team--and not divided and arguing....hmmmm...seems not only are our leaders divided, the whole country is becoming more divided every day.
What happened Obama????
Farmboots, thanks for stopping by. I must agree and I sense more, instead of less, division in our country. The agenda was there from the start creating a crises to push more legislation that will line the pockets of the politicians and as payback for backing then up. (Cap & Trade, unions, etc.)
I can only think of two words about this hub: Echo Chamber.
Wha..wha...wha...wha...what?
Thank you for the excellent report. I enjoy your work. It is good.
Does anybody really pay attention to the Huffington Post ? I hope that nobody with a brain does ! Imagine that liberal bias on the Internet who would,ve thought that ? Oh well the surge of old fashioned values Is starting to rise ! As was shown In New York this weekend . And look at the New Jersey Governors race , conservative values are starting to get back In vogue .
James, thanks for stopping by. One day I will attempt a real hub like yours. :o)
Tony, you are right but they are one of the media outlest that carried those fabrications. Maybe they felt legally compelled (not morally) to take the Rush comments down. I am looking forward to following the three races this Tuesday as well. It will be very interesting to see the outcome.

This turn of events is a wake up call. Our way of life, our liberties, everything we hold dear is under attack. We need to come together and stop the government from robbing us of our freedoms. Start writing your representatives. Do it everyday. These idiots only care about one thing, re-election. Keep up the dialogue and make sure they know that we are watching them.
