Here's a twist to the miss california story.

Unstable family life

Don't you just love irony? It doesn't get much better than this. I think everyone remembers the flap over Miss California answering the gay marriage question and getting skewered for it? She says she believes marriage is between a man and a woman, and that's how she was brought up. Well, some things just need a closer look. turns out her parents divorce was pretty ugly. Both accusing the other of engaging in homosexual relations outside their marriage. Fast forward to yesterday, and Mom openly admits to being a lesbian and out there "dating". So where did the staunch upringing ideals come from? Unless seeing how her parents marriage turned out she learned first hand as to the havoc wreaked when gays are married. Even if they were two opposing gays. When initially asked the question it seems she could have included her parents gayness into the mix, and shut the fool questioner dead in his tracks. You really can't make this stuff up, and is one more reminder that there is always more to an issue than meets the eye.

LOL. I somehow missed the backstory on Miss California's home life. She absolutely would have scored bigtime with that story. As I have said elsewhere on hubs about Miss California's unfortunate response, no one really wants to hear your personal politics. If you can't figure out the answer the judge DOES want to hear, you probably don't deserve the crown anyway.

Talk about a missed opportunity! Next we'll be hearing that Miss California herself is bisexual:-). Good hub. MM
