Herniated and Bulging Discs
63Herniated and Bulging Discs
Listen up males, if you have had a herniated or bulging disc before now you know what it is like to give birth. The pain is excruicating and unbearable. Herniated and bulging discs are mostly common in males from the ages of 30-45 and usually occur from a bending forward and lifting up movement. That's why it's important to engage your core while doing these types of movement. Surgery is usually recommened in severe herniated and bulging discs, this is what we do not want to happen. So the million dollar question is what can we do to prevent herniated and bulging discs.
The latest studies show after sitting down for thirty minutes the load in our discs and vertebrae increase by four times. I'm betting most people who are reading this hub sit down for the majority of the day. The first step would be to stand up every twenty minutes and unload/decompress our low backs. The next thing is to have a strong core. So start doing some ab work and stretching out the appropriate muscles. Nutrition to our discs, nerves, and muscle is essential. We need stability and strength to support our low back and discs. Most diets are lacking essential nutrients that nourish and replenish our bodies. These nutrients our mainly fish oils. Certain fish oils are essential and have to be from our diet. So take a close look at what you eat for the next week and check to see if it contains fish oils, magnesium, glucosamine and flax seed. These help with nourishing and replenishing our nerves, back, and muscles. I think that's an easy start for most of us!

I agree that most of us sit alot and this causes alot of the problems of back pain and herniated discs. Sit tall and use a rolled towel in your back to prevent or minimise you from slouching over.
