If you are planning on trying Monolaurin instead of Valtrex, you have to take it for an extended amount of time to let it build up in your body. valtrex is a Pharmaceutical and in chemically engineered to kill Herpes very fast. Monolaurin is a food supplement that in time (4-5 months) builds up in your body and dissolves the lipid coating of the Herpes virus, making it exposed to the immune system which kills it. I just got this immune booster from my friend who sells malalueca. you take three pills for three weeks. It's a combination of echinacia and a bunch of other stuff. I'm going to do that before I start doing the Monolaurin hardcore. I need an immune system to kill the virus once the monolaurin absorbs the coating from the cells. hopefully this will help with my HPV as well

Hi all - I'm new to the hub, hoping you can help me. I took the detox nearly a year ago. I have had 4-5 follow up tests and all say I'm still positive - not with a current OB but with antibodies suggesting it's still latent in my system. I have been in regular contact with the Resolve team and am getting extremely frustrated with them. This is an important medical issue and the treatment was developed by a doctor, however the people distributing his treatment appear to have no medical background whatsoever and no real interest in answering my questions.

When I bought the detox program a year ago, the guarantee offered on the site was much more absolute than it is now. They have downgraded the guarantee significantly - interesting.

In my continuing attempts to get some sense from them I recently emailed and asked the following questions:

"Here's what I don't understand - if a test has 2 parts, current attack and evidence of any previous attack - and the only evidence that Resolve has worked is a negative result for a current attack, then in my opinion that is no evidence at all. I don't need minerals, or a test, to know if I'm having a current attack as I have symptoms to tell me. If my test might always show evidence of past attacks, then does that mean there is absolutely no way of knowing that the minerals have worked and that I am virus free?"

The Resolve team responded:

"We did not see your actual test but it does say your results where for past infection that means the active infection is no longer there. [I don't understand this - while ever there is evidence of past infection, medicine says that means it's latent in system still - if so, and that might never change - there is no way of proving the detox has worked - so what's the point of taking it??!!]

It can depend a lot on which blood test you get as to how accurate the results will be. You can get a DNA spinal tap does which is 100% accurate but they are very expensive tests to complete. There is also a DNA blood test and the western blot test.

Some people never get rid of the memory antibodies. You are no longer having symptoms so it is probably just going to take time for you antibody levels to return to normal. [again, don't understand, as above].

Can anyone shed any light on any of this and /or is anyone having similar frustrations with the Resolve team?

Soclose: I'm glad to hear that death didn't occur to your family. I just read the posts few minutes ago. It's still a shame that it happened. I did think of the fact that you were worried about your Dr dad finding out. I picture you in your 20's. I got my misosilver today. I was suprised it came so damn quick. I just ordered it 2 days ago. Again wow! For you I wonder if the misosilver would help with your lymphnode issues. They swell up due to infection. I'd check it out. I'm about to order the MMS and the medavir. me_here: Welcome to the hub. I have read so many different posts about that damn resolve. I was all ready to purchase it but got very hesitant in purchasing it. See, I always do research on everything from electronics to vitamins and all in between. Once I read this post I went to some others and seemed to get the same picture from everywhere. Not one person has been cured. Some tests came back negative but upon the follow ups showing up positive I concluded that resolve is a giant rip off. No return of anyone's money that I have read. I can tell they are no Dr's onboard when they called you. This pisses me off not because of myself but because they prey on folk down on their luck and in need of a cure for this H thing. What makes me want to slap them is what they told you. Me being in the medical field I know too often of the dangers of spinal tap. That is so dangerous not to mention painful as shit! Then the memory comment. What crap! Ask anyone who was cured about the memory of their bodies. They will probably tell your that their bodies remembers what it feels to be OB and for the most part virus free. I'd try something else.

To everyone else I hope this gives us all renewed faith that a cure is at our fingertips. Lets cure as many people as we can. Something good out of something bad. Good luck to all of us!

I'm starting to think there might be something to this MedAvir thing. It may have very well cured me as well... or at least of any ob's. I bought the product at the beginning of the year, just after I contracted the virus. I wanted it to work so bad that I bought 3 bottles. Anyway, when it arrived was in the middle of an outbreak (which for me happens about once a month usually after a late boozy night out) I applied MedAvir as directed to the effected area. It didn't seem to work at all. It didn't burn or tingle, it just felt like I was applying baby oil to my skin (no reaction what so ever)... but I kept using it until my ob went away. Which seemed to do so in it's own time. I assumed the the product was a fake. A month later as scheduled I got another outbreak which was in Feburary. Again I used MedAvir but this time I was able to apply it before H actually broke through. Same as before, my ob seemed to not be effected by the MedAvir but I continued to use it until my outbreak went away. Never really believing that it was going to cure me of anything but what could it hurt right? Well, it is now September, 7 months later and I have not had one single outbreak. I must also add that for the first few months I was taking Lysine, Lecithin and Acyclovir almost daily. but lately I haven't taken anything at all. And I have had several boozy nights out. I also have been drinking tons Coke and eating a lot chocolate to try to induce an outbreak. Also, recently I lost my job so my stress levels are at an all time high and still no outbreaks!!!

I did not use MMS like 'R' did and I have not tested yet to see if I am still positive but from the looks of things, It seems that MedAvir could have worked for me. Or maybe the combination of MedAvir, Lysine, Lecithin worked. I guess the only way to know for sure is to get tested but from what I keep reading, a simple blood test isn't always accurate. Maybe I'll just wait it out and see if the symptoms return.

Anyway guys, I just wanted to share my story. Hopefully it will help someone.

well, i was 90 days post resolve on august 25. as of today still no OBs. I have not tested and to be honest, I doubt that I will. Based on all the postings here and what happened with Love, I feel like I am still positive. Never the less, I have not had an outbreak and I will just leave it at that. I do hate that resolve has tricked so many folks out of money. Made us sick, at times, and cost us 300 or so bucks. It is what it is. You always here people say if it is too good to be true, it probably is. Hopefully, one day some true science will find a cure. If some companies or the government would put their money and their will behind it, they could find a cure or a shot to basically prevent out breaks and from it being spread. but as we know, other viruses, etc are seen as more important to deal with. Good luck to you all. I do feel better after resolve and have not had an OB - but other than that - I am just going to keep going on with life as it was - I don't need a test to disappoint me as I fear it would.

Soclose: Have you tried getting some Lymphatic Drainage? I get it done when my lymphatic system gets sluggish (i know when this happens because i get worse acne and my legs feel thick and heavy even though they're actually very thin). It's like having a really really gentle massage. Very relaxing and good for you!

SecondChance: Yes, people can get HSV2 from giving unprotected oral sex to someone with the virus. I think swallowing would be kind of irrelevant, if any skin on or around her mouth touched your genitals during an outbreak or while there is viral shedding (which you don't know is happening) then there is a high risk of passing it on.

Everyone: I still haven't gone back to get my test results because i'm a big chicken. The nurse said they would contact me if there was a problem, so i'm kind of just assuming/hoping my test was negative (for those that never read my posts before i was visually diagnosed and swab and blood test at the time came back negative). I know i should go and find out for sure because i'm very stressed and getting anxiety as well which isn't good.

Just a general question...have many of you lovely ladies on here had the Gardasil HPV vaccination? I'm well overdue for my third and final dose but obviously getting that done would mean facing up to my test results. (yep, definitely a chicken!)

Further to my last email, are you aware of this site - http://hubpages.com/hub/Herpes-Resolve-Illness - where countless people are complaining about the same thing re Resolve - promise of negative test results but no-one is getting negative results. This has been noted by many people over months on this site. At what point are you going to address this to us individually, or as a group? You could go a long way to keeping us encouraged by giving proper answers and information rather than vague brush offs like below.

I'm getting to the point where I feel I have to conclude Resolve is just a money making scheme - because I simply cannot get a reasonable answer from you to my reasonable questions.

I did a proper research about monolaurin and lauricidin before I've ordered lauricidin. I decided lauricidin cause I believed it had more doses of monolaurin. Maybe I was wrong but its on the way... I'm a little confused actually. Should I have ordered monolaurin ? What would you suggest ? I thought the more I ingested the quicker the cure would be. I want to be cured now you know ! I'm already ingesting coconut oil daily. Like two teaspoons. But I don't know if the product is good. It's nearly the only one I can find here... Heat works for me to make them come out. I don't know if it was a coincidence but when I heated my lower back up to 70 degrees 4 days in a row they came out. In a virology book, I've read that h virus also loses its infectivity when exposed to heat of 39 degrees celcius and over. I think if we had first contracted the virus in a sauna we wouldn't probably be infected :) When my mms and other stuff arrive I'll again start the heating process. I'll do the 99% alcohol stuff too. I won't let any of the attackers go back to my nerves alive ! ! ! I wish I could know a way of making all of them attack and then kill... What I know certainly is that this shT immediately dies on direct contact with 99% alcohol. Just after the alcohol injection the itchyness goes away immediately! Try it ! The cheapest method ever.

I've written it before but I'll write again :

First wait until the blisters are completely full. It may be the second day of the OB. Draw all the liquid in the blisters with insulin injectors.

Be careful about what your doing cause that is the virus! I use new injectors for each drawing and throw them away. Actually I pack them and throw them outside the house :) Everytime I draw the liquid I wash everywhere around with alcohol. Both the places on my body and where I sit,touch...Everywhere. If you live with partners family or roommates, where you do it can become a hell for rest of their lives ! ! !

When the blisters are empty fill the blisters with 99% alcohol. Yes it needs very kind, careful and detailed approach. There can be bleeding and pain(standable). But it's worth it. You can observe it yourself.

Again I've told all the story but I'd like to hear somebody has tried it and seen the benefits. I have...

So when my thing arrive I'll first do everthing to make them come out from hiding and then hit with mms lauricidin medavir and alcohol ! ! ! I suggest this would work...

Tryin 2 b - and all : Another discovery.Hmm lets not call it a discovery. We already knew it. So lets call it an experience :

I was heating my groins after I rub the place with castor oil. To get rid of my lymph nodes. An ob gave signals that it was coming. When I did the heating and the oil application it stopped ! ! ! I think it was because of the heat instead of castor oil. Because as I have stated before medicine books say that h loses its infectivity under 39 degrees celcius and more heat ! try it yourself. It didn't succeed to become an ob. I just saw the redness but no blisters occured. The place started to heal. And I also have to say that the ob was caused by heat again. I was heating my back for 3 days :) I think we started to learn smt from the virus itself. At least the ones fooling around in my body don't like heat. When I heat my back they come out from hiding. When I heat my front they cannot infect. Good news hah ? :))

Hey Everyone

As a Chinese Medicine Practitioner i thought i'd better look up this VS-C TCM stuff people have been talking about. The web pages i found on it have the ingredients listed in English and Latin so without looking it up i can't specifically comment on all the herbs (i learnt them in Pin Yin Chinese), but to be honest i don't really see the value in buying that formula. It's in capsule form which is basically the weakest form of Chinese medicine for a start. Granulated herbs are a step up, but the most powerful formulas are in raw form (you boil up twigs and leaves etc and drink the brew).

Ginseng (Ren Shen) is basically our strongest tonifying herb. It is only prescribed to seriously ill people who need to strongly tonify their Qi. Taking Ginseng when you don't have Qi Deficiency can actually make some coniditons worse.

Having said that, herbs like Dang Gui and Bupleurum root (Chai Hu) might be a good choice to disperse pathogenic factors. But this or any formula should not be taken longterm without supervision by someone qualified to dispense such herbs. Some of them are very bitter which can damage the Spleen Qi and cause digestive dysfunction. They may have put the cinnamon twig (Rou Gui) in there to counteract that somewhat because it is a warming herb, but if you saw a professional the formula would be balanced for YOUR body, and not so generalised.

What i'm trying to get at is there may be some merit to some of the herbs, but if you want to take Chinese herbs you should see a qualified TCM practitioner and get a formula suited to your body's needs. I would not recommend anybody take this formula for the 3-6 months that is being suggested. There is a perception of herbal medicine being safe because it is natural, but it can have damaging effects on your body if you're taking something not suited to your specific needs. See your local TCM practitioner if you want TCM herbal treatment. They won't judge you for having H, they want to help all their patients.

On another note, I sat in on a consultation with the Naturopath at my work and a Metagenics consultant the other day, and we were discussing their Probiotic range. I had a read through the information and thought i would pass some of it along.

They have a product called Ultra Flora Immune that i thought would be good for anyone trying to get rid of H. It's only dispensable by practitioners (and i'm not sure if Metagenics is global) but i can tell you the ingredients so you can look for something equally potent and effective wherever you're from. (NB the number of organisms and the specific type of organism is very important in determining efficacy)

Each Capsule contains:

Lactobacillus acidophilus NCFM - 11 billion organisms.

Bifidobacterium lactis HN019 - 1.25 billion organisms.

Lactobacillus rhamnosus HN001 - 500 million organisms.

I've been contemplating that for the past week. Reason being is that we may not need it. If we can avoid the outbreaks by taking the monolaurin with breaks down the virus wall and the mms would start killing the h biotch. Just a thought. Soclose: It's been days since I've stopped my valtrex. So far I've had no ob nor the sensations of one coming on. I did start on the monolaurin days ago and today I purchased some coconut oil and some apple cidar vinegar. What my plan is with that is to take monolaurin 3 capsels at night and the coconut oil in the morning 3 tbsps. It had a lot of calories 120 per tbps. Have you spoken to your doctor about your swab plan? I'm asking because i originally thought the swab test would be pretty accurate, but when mine came back negative the doctor said the swab test only shows up as positive if there is fluid from a blister present, which i didn't have.

MissHopefull: I hope the testing goes well for you. Perhaps you could also try stuff at home to find out if you're shedding the virus at certain times. I've been researching more about the crystal pendulum stuff and that's been helping me get more accurate answers which is good (practice makes perfect). You could also learn how to do MRT (muscle response testing) but you would need to learn that from someone who can show you how to do it. It also requires a bit of practice to fine-tune your skills but i think it's worthwhile.

Soclose: Viral shedding can happen at any time, so i was suggesting two possible methods to find out if the viral shedding is happening on certain days. Most cases of H are passed on when there is no outbreak present, it's when there's viral shedding, so knowing when that is happening would lessen the chances of passing H on to a partner. During an OB the virus is definitely there in large numbers.

MRT is related to Kinesiology i believe. At least i know they do the muslce testing as part of their system. It's a way of communicating with the subconscious/body. I've found you have to be very specific with the questions you ask the body though, because the answer won't be accurate unless the question is precise so there can be a definite yes or no response (weakness or strength in the muscle)

I followed resolve strictly and I also took about 5000mg of lysine a day. now I only take one in the morning... I just got used to it I guess haha. Glad I could be of some help :) that's what I was hoping for! Yeah it would be pretty cool if I had negative test results. I definitely am lucky though, because I first contracted the virus beginning of may. I was sort of seeing someone new right when I contracted it and they broke up with me for having it... that's really bad to hear about your ex but obviously she's an ex for a reason right? ;) I DEFINITELY took lysine along with the detox. It is important to buy tablets that are 1000mg PER TABLET and take 4 in the morning and 4 at night. I know it seems like A LOT but it reaalllly helps easy the discomfort.

Also I used a product called dynamiclear ( http://www.dynamiclear.com/ ) yes it is expensive but completely worth it. It hurts like A BITCH to apply but stops the outbreak from occurring pretty much as soon as you apply it. A lot of people on here say controversial things about that and lysine but the dynamiclear doesn't mess with the detox process at all because it is an anti-viral, just like oregano oil is.

Another thing (lol lots to read, sorry!) is I took really hot baths with lavender oil and epsom salts during an outbreak. Helped to ease the pain and speed up the healing of the blisters.

Don't listen to anyone on here or anywhere that says you can't free yourself from it because.. you can :) just stay positive ok! :)

Lysine I don't think weakens the virus.. it isn't an anti-viral... all it does is set your body at a state where it is not happy to live in... but yes do high high doses of lysine while on any detox for herpes..like I'm talking up to 10 000 mg a day. I know it sounds like a lot.. but it helped me... now i barely take it.

I'm also taking two products off of Nature's sunshine Website called HRP-C and Mineral Chi-Tonic. You can search them on there. Its basically just an immune system booster alone with some stuff that helps with the nervous system. all natural stuff. Hi all: I started on my MMS yesterday. I took it last night and earlier today with plain water. It wasn't the best of taste. I am on the once per hour protocol and take it with POM. It's amazing the difference in what they claim/promise from a year ago til now - first it was a 100% guarantee of a clear blood test and now it is 0% guarantee.

On a slightly different note, if you have done the Resolve program, can you please post here (again if you have already) whether you are now symptom free? I have been symptom free for some months. Even though blood tests keep coming back positive for antibodies, I am symptom free and would like to know if others are too.

Q: Are herbal supplements and Monolaurin ok to take while taking the booster or

do they fall into the vitamin category?

A: It is best not to take any other supplements while taking the booster.

The following is from the Booster page on the Resolve website…

"How will I know if I should take the booster detox?

After you complete the detox, your body will go through a clearing and healing process. During this time it is really normal to have clearing symptoms. After completion of the detox, you can get minor outbreaks as your body is clearing. Give yourself 4-6 weeks to let your body settle down. If you are still experiencing clearing symptoms, then you may need to consider purchasing the Booster Detox, which will help you with this clearing process. (Please note, however, that less than 5% of ResolveHerpes customers require the Booster Detox, so be patient and allow your body to heal itself and allow the clearing symptoms to fade before making a decision on whether to purchase the Booster Detox.) Should you decide to purchase the Booster Detox, then you can do so at the bottom of this page.

Diluting the minerals:

1. Open the bottle and quarter fill with boiling hot water (bottled or distilled water.)

They've also updated the FAQ (which appears to be a CYA maneuver in my opinion) and backed off some of their claims. I find it particularly "interesting" that they now state their are no blood tests in the U.S that accurately document the success of Resolve (how convenient is that?!!!)

"Q: How can it be proven that the herpes virus is gone?

A: Once you have completed the mineral detox strictly as instructed, then you should know on your own when the virus has left your body because when the virus leaves your body you should no longer have outbreaks of the same frequency and intensity. Shortly after completing the detox, you can still experience "clearing" symptoms, but these should decrease in frequency over the following 3 to 9 months. Eventually, your outbreaks should stop completely. That process takes different time periods for different people. There is no one-size-fits-all time frame. It just depends on your own body, the level of virus in your body, how well you follow the instructions that came with the detox, and the health of your own body's immune system. Moreover, while some customers do receive negative blood test results after completing the detox and waiting at least 90 days to test, there is no known blood test in the United States that can consistently and reliably show that the herpes virus has left the body because the antibodies to the virus will always remain and there is no known blood test in the United States that can differentiate between antibodies that are present due to a prior herpes infection and antibodies that are present due to a current herpes infection.

What's supposed to happen is the monolaurin is supposed to srip the protective layer of the virus down and the body's own immune system is supposed to kill the virus using mms1. Also there is mms2. Travel back in time a few days and click on the link. Some dude by the name of "R" posted a claim that he got cured. You might want to read that too. Scroll back to 3 weeks ago. Soclose: When was your last ob? How frequent are your ob's from when you get the itching in your legs. With me...it takes on ob to occur about 5-7 days after the itching occurs. My frequency is usually every 5 months.

DK1: I was young and not really protecting myself earlier in life. So, I guess I slept with the wrong one. My Dr. told me that I had the antibodies for H. Then he asked me if I had ever had H or any outbreaks. I told him no not at all. That's when he told me that I had beaten it naturally. He looked at the levels. That is about all I was told. I basically just remember hearing him just say wow and he stared at me. I didn't have any symptoms no flu-like symptoms or anything. Some people don't. You see...at that time I was eating correctly and not really stressing about too much of anything. Life was really good. I was working out on the regular basis, running and just having fun. The job was okay. I've always been real with myself and has always had a great sense of humor. Thus, my immune system was at it's peak and doing it's job the way it was meant to.

When I got reinfected life was very different for me. I wasn't eating that well, I was inbetween jobs, finances were barely there. My love life was in shambles. I, I was just stressed to the max. I started on valtrex in January this year. I haven't had a breakout in about 9 months. 3wks ago the itching in my legs started but then stopped when I took my last few days of valtrex. I refuse to take it anymore. No more I take the monolaurin about 2400mg as well. And I also cook with the coconut oil as well. It's supposed to strip down the protective layer from the virus and leave it exposed for the immune system. That's why I'm doing MMS as well with the new protocol for every hour. I'm looking into MMS2 as well. I've already purchased the "CALCIUM HYPOCHLORITE" myself from a pool store. Though, I haven't taken it as of yet. Does anybody know for sure how long HSV antibodies stay in your bloodstream for? I've heard they stay forever, but we already know people can get different antibody test results all the time, so wouldn't that mean if you did get rid of the virus that the antibody levels would go down over time?

I did a NAET treatment on myself tonight with the HSV Mix vial. It showed up as a sensitivity so presumably that would mean i do have it :( but hopefully the NAET treatment will allow my body to fight it off with all its strength.

Has anybody had a HSV test that detects the actual virus rather than the antibodies?

To all: Yesterday I spoke to my new Dr about the my having H and trying to cure it. Of course she told me there was no cure and if there were it woould be in the New England Journal of Medicine. I told her there are people who were cured from it. So, she looked at me stunned. As I told her what I was taking she said she had never heard of sodium chlorite before. MMS either for that matter. I went on explaining that I have been researching for a while on this and I'm taking the monolaurin and mms. She looked at me as if I were nuts than she started to get curious and ordered some tests I wanted. Then some more. She ordered IgG, IgM(what ever that is, I guess some titers) and some liver and kidney enzyme tests. She said she'll bite. She'd like to see if something's there. So, I took those tests today. Just to see where I am.

I'm thinking to myself now why would mms be in that magazine? It isn't medicine and pharma doesn't want anything on it's terf.

I just got my blood tested a couple days ago and I am waiting for my results. I'm convinced it will come back negative. Will let you all know!

Sociose: I used it on the Ob's only. About three times a day. until it went away. But I think it was the combination of everything that helped me. I had read that if you take 2500mg of Lecithin for a month it could rid you of this virus. So I did and it seemed to work for me. I cannot say if it was the MedAvir or the Lecithin or the Lysine. Or all the above. I was also taking Acyclovir almost daily during the same 6 weeks. Now I'm not taking anything anymore and I haven't been for over 6 months.

Now I've been completely symptom free for over 8 months. I have to remind myself that I may still have this virus cause I have no evidence to remind me anymore. I literally feel nothing down below. Except of course the good stuff that I'm supposed to feel.

I am so convinced that I'm cured! But we'll see in a few days. Hope that helps!

To All: I received my IgG results back Positive for hsv II. I already know that. That's where I'm starting from now. I wanted a baseline on it. IgM was negative. I'm still waited on my capsel refill kit inwhich was supposed to be delivered here today but to no avail. I'm going to start on mms2 when it arrives. My best friend knows about my having h and I told him what I'm taking. I'll give him access to him just in case something happens to me while on mms2. He will let you know if something does.

If something does happen to any of us...we should all let someone know so that it'll be a warning. I'm glad I'm able to count on him.

okay, here's the scoop: I just got my blood work back... AND as I suspected, It was NEGATIVE for all STD's!!! :-) When I was tested, I never told the nurse that I had HSV 2, I just said I wanted to be tested for ALL STD's to make absolutely sure I was clean of everything. Now, I know that western blood tests aren't always 100% accurate... so I'm not jumping for joy completely yet, but I'm convinced even more that I have kicked this shit out of my body. And I plan to go on with my life as if I am cured. I'm putting a lot of stock into positive thinking and as I said before, I feel or see no signs or symptoms of H and haven't for 8 moths! So that's it for me! I cannot say for sure if this will work for you though. I had fairly low HSV count to begin with and I was only infected for about 4 or 5 months before I started taking anything.

So here's the dosage I took everyday for six weeks:

Lecithin: 2 x 1200mg per day (sorry Sociose, I only took 2400mg a day but I'm sure if you take 3000mg it could only help.

Lysine: 2 x 500mg per day.

Acyclovir: 2 x 200mg per day.

MedAvir: I applied only to OB's (when present) 3 times a day.

Pretty cheap and easy stuff to get and take. No harmful side effects... I felts nothing unusual when I was on these meds.

I think i might be starting to get an OB :(

I've only ever had the first one so i don't know what to expect. The first one snuck up on me and i didn't notice it til it was a few bumps, and they only lasted 2 days because i went straight to the doctor. I could be wrong and could have a fingernail scratch down there, but it's in the same area as before so i'm assuming it's H which has upset me a fair bit. At the moment it's just a slightly red sore area, no bumps. Is this how things normally start?

What does everyone normally do to shorten the duration? I wiped the area with an alcohol swab (which burned like crazy) because that's all i could come up with since i don't have any medications (prescribed or natural) to use.

Keeper - Congratulations. I just had one question. Are you sure you had a HSV test done? I went to get a full STD test done before, and I know that Herpes is not a part of their STD panel. You have to ask for it seperately. Congrats in either case!

I have been looking at this and other hubs for the last 6-8 months and posting only a few things. I have seen a lot of info on several sites and through my own research that would indicate that you cannot realy tell by standard STD testing that you are rid of the HSV (1 or 2) as they test for antibodies created by your immune system to subdue the virus. From what i have read these antibodies are with you for life.

I completed the 3 stage resolve protocol in April of this year and have had 1 or 2 very minor itchy patches since. Prior to that i was having regular outbreaks of HSV2 every other week or so for about 18 months and prior to that every other month. I was infected approx 15 years ago.

All i can say from my own experience is that Resolve has certainly had the effect of DRAMATICALLY reducing outbreaks to the point where i believe i am asymptomatic. I will give it another 6-12 months before i can convince myself i am free of it but i have been through some very heavy colds and flu's this year and the usual outbreaks that follow are nowhere to be seen.

There is a lot of conjecture and heresay on these types of hubs. I say let everyman be their own Guinea pig and see what works for you.

Hi all. Everyone is so positive on this thread, I'm very happy to be able to reach out here. After almost two years of abstinence one evening of receiving oral (about a month ago) gave me what appears to be h. Clearly not one of my better decisions. A miscommunication between me and the tech at the doctor's office meant I had to wait two weeks for an appointment (instead of same day visit...erg) and the culture came back negative probably b/c the active virus was no longer there. When I developed symptoms my then partner and I both freaked out. I felt like my life was completely over. I went through the barrage of normal emotions, but I got stuck at the pissed at myself one.

I felt helpless and completely alone. I still haven't told my friends or family. I no longer feel pretty or sexy. I def'ly feel like I don't deserve anyone's love. Logically, I know the stat 1 in 5, but that's still only 20% of the pop. I was looking up information on H and came across some cure-all websites.

Again, logically I know that there is no cure for H, but I hated feeling helpless. So I did it. I bought the resolve mineral stuff. And, you know, as soon as I closed the window after my purchase I felt better. I know that this stuff won't get rid of all the little virus particles within my cells, but I am doing something about it. Taking control. Yes, I messed up. (It was a fun night, but worth this?) But at least I'm doing something. There can always be hope. And abstinance...always plenty of room for that.

I've learned that most products bought are gimmicky, especially via internet, and all commercialism is about the bottom dollar. A cure for a disease is great but if a company doesn't make returns on its product then it will go out of business and many people will be financially devistated. (Which is equally devistating to the country's economy too.) There can only be so much humanitarianism in a free trade society. I get what most people on the internet are saying about all of these scams, but shoot I felt better before I even tried this stuff. That's got to be good, right?

I'm on day five or so now. I'll say one thing for this product, it's making me eat three times a day. Can't say I've habitually done that in years. Just had my second but thankfully small ob yesterday. I'm getting some pimples on my face that aren't whiteheads, if that makes any sense. No popping these badboys. Probably just inflammation?

Hopefully this resolve stuff doesn't do more harm then good. After all, has anyone here ever put something rusty in a can of coca-cola? Give it some time and there will no longer be rust. So yeah, we put bad crap in our bodies all the time. Right?

I'm very uncertain about all of this, and of course it didn't make me feel better when the doc asked me if my partner was going to be my last sexual partner. That was awkward...uhm, no. (now I'm thinking...no? shoot maybe.)

One thing about the resolve faq that I did agree with was the testing... Antibodies (IgG) aren't designed by the body after seeing a foreign body, but are randomly made and when one finds a target its number explodes. (Which mean your body might not be able to make ab for a particular target.) Once that antibody finds its target the body creates memory cells, so when it encounters that particular target again it can attack faster, in full force. Thus, it makes sense that once you have an encounter with H your body will retain some antibodies, hopefully forever. (If you've ever had a booster vaccine shot -> it's showing your body a placated form of the target so your body can maintain its high store of antibodies.) All ab tests for is if you've had exposure to a target. ever. So, if your antibody result comes back negative it could just mean that the titer (level in the body) is too low to be detected. Which could be b/c the body hasn't been exposed to it in a while and your particular body doesn't keep a high count. Actually telling you nothing about the level of virions within your actual cells. (It could also mean some tech messed up the test.)

I will def'ly keep posted about how this works for me. I can only hope that my ob's are few and far between. If not, once I finish this mineral stuff I'll move onto something else. Perhaps that iontophoresis. Those electrodes that deliver medicine directly to the spot on your skin that it touches. I used it for ibuprofen application for my foot a couple of years ago and it worked well enough. Granted ibuprofen is an anti-inflam and not anti-viral.

I'm not convinced it's a complete scam but it sure seems the percentage of people with success is exteremely low. Everybody needs to weigh it themselves if it's worth a try vs the cost. I have no regrets (yet) and no negative sideeffects. I started the booster today just for extra insurance. I'll take it for a month then switch to WipeOut! and Monolaurin for another 6 months. I may add Lethicin and Lysine also. I just want to make sure I rid myself of this crap for good. Whatever it takes! Just when I thought Resolve couldn't taste any worse... it does. VERY NASTY!

Hi all,

I finally went and picked up my test results from back in August (the second lot because the first ones were negative). They were negative for IgM (past infection) and negative for HSV II IgG, but Equivocal for HSV I IgG. My doctor explained that that means they couldn't give a definite yes or no to having a new HSV I infection. So they took a 3rd lot of blood from me today, and my doctor said she would call me with the results in the next few days. If it's going to say positive to anything it would be HSV I IgM now because it's been so many months. Fingers crossed for a negative anyway!

She also mentioned that having those antibodies doesn't mean a whole lot. People can have antibodies to something and never show symptoms because they've been exposed to it before but their body fought it off. So for anyone that has a positive hsv test but never gets any symptoms then it's actually hard to say whether they have the virus still or not. She said once you get a positive test result there's no point in testing again to see if you've cured yourself because those IgM antibodies will never go away. It will always show you've had exposure to it in the past.

Dk1 : This information is confusing. Because I've never tested positive for IgM. As far as I know IgM tells if you have an active infection or not, when you give your blood. But I gave blood when I had an active infection. It also came back neg for IgM but positivie for IgG.

Hey everyone. As usual, it's been a long time since I've got on the hub. I guess since I just lost all faith in Resolve, I've spent the majority of my internet time looking for other things to help me and us as a whole.

My "new thing" which probably isn't new to lots of you is that I cut out all sugar and processed food, been eating a lot more healthy and have re-committed myself to working out regularly. I've read in multiple places that sugar is a major fuel for herpes and I was giving it waaaay more fuel than I should have.

I also am taking large doses of Lysine each day. I think I am taking 6,000mg if I recall correctly. (Too lazy and tired to walk downstairs and look at my vitamins)

In addition to this I have been taking Lecithin. I have read in multiple places that this really helps out. One page I found claims that people have been cured by taking 2,500 mg of it daily for 30 days. Sounds like a bold claim. But it's cheap and what have I got to lose!

I've continued on my Monolaurin as well. I dropped the Wipeout! because I had breakouts and contacted the company's customer service department with a few questions and they have yet to respond to me. Probably another Resolve.

I also just bought 6 bottles of Medavir and now kicking myself for it! While I've read that people have had some success with minimizing outbreaks with it, it is sooooo overpriced. And the active ingredient is .43% Stannous Fluoride, which I now remember someone saying is also the ingredient in Gel Kam toothpaste. And of course it's a LOT cheaper. Stupid, stupid, stupid!!!

But I've heard that Stannous Fluoride kills herpes on contact, so I started researching it. I found that PerioMed oral rinse has .63% Stannous Fluoride in it. So my reasoning is that if .43% is bood, then .63% is BETTER!! So I ordered some. It comes in Cinnamon, Mint and Tropical Fruit. I ordered the tropical fruit as it sounds a LOT less stingie than the alternatives!!

I am being my own science experiment, so who knows what will happen!

He said no, and then I go to the doctor (2 because I didn't want to believe the first) and got it tested and low and behold I had H1 where H2 should be.. Although when I researched it I found that it's better that way because less ob since it's not in the "site of preference" but I want to get rid of it so when there are those random nights.. I've been researching "cures" and treatments and the best thing I saw was the resolve, and this product call choraphor. I also saw something about acidophilus saying that it may help control it or even deminish it in your body. I'm trying to see who has been trying what and if it works.

Also, I haven't told my parents about it.. so the only people who know are my ex-b/f and 2 really good friends. I'm a little worried about telling my parents so I'm leaving it until I can find a way to gt rid of it forever.

Now 4 months post Resolve and still all clear! No special diet either. Before Resolve I saw very mild OBs every 4-6 weeks and got infected approx 1yr prior to starting Resolve. I've decided not to even bother with any testing and just continue watching for OBs. I've also been doing the booster for 4 weeks now and will continue for one more week just for added insurance. Then I'm going on monolaurin and WipeOut for 6-9 months. If all remains clear by the end of 2010, I'll consider myself cured.

hey folks, haven't been on here in forever. Well I'm about 5 months post resolve. I got an outbreak on my 90th day! go figure huh. Resolve told me to do the booster and I considered it, but if you read the website it says that no tests can tell you if you are really cured or not, it's just how you feel. It also says that it can take 18 months to be completely cured. When I e-mailed them that I had an outbreak they said that i should just wait, well if they have no proof I'm cured and it's all mind over matter, then I guess I'm cured....until I have another outbreak. I took monolaurin for about a month or so, I should still be on it but found out I have a thyroid problem from a previous neck injury. Anyhow, I've given up on resolve but I'm going to talk to my lawyer and see if I can sue them for my money back.....not to mention the 102 fever I endured for like 2 weeks- missed work, etc.....wchester, I hope you are cured, some one should be, but I'm pretty sure it's not me.

Hey hub. I'm post 4 months resolve and so far so good. My doctor has taken viral cultures once a week to check for shedding. So far we've done 4. 2 came back neg, and the other two i'll find out this week. I had a little bumb, not sure if it's from irritation or if its an OB but it's in a different location than where to my knowledge I was infected. I'll keep you guys posted. I haven't ordered the 2nd booster from resolve yet until these results come back. btw, i took an antibody test instead of the test that resolve said since i can't pay for it. came back pos still for hsv 2. I know alot of you might have gotten a regular antibody blood test after being post resolve. There is still hope! Antibodies stay in your body or dna for almost a lifetime when infected with any disease. For example, Many ppl get flu shots during or before flu season. They inject you with flu antigens so that your body can make antibodies and always recognize the virus and fight it off.

Now, heres something to think about. If they made some type of blood test that could test if we had the flu(even if we felt fine) We would test to be positive because those antibodies are inside of us. Were not able to pass the flu virus with our antibodies, so how do we know this isnt how our body is working with the herpes after taking resolve?
