Herschel is a Beast!

Ok, so, we already know, or should know, that Herschel Walker is 47 years old. Do you know his resume? Heisman Winner in 1982 and probably the best tailback that has ever came out of University of Georgia. He went on into the National Football League, after the short lived United States Football League, to play for four Legendary Teams. These teams were the Dallas Cowboys, the Minnesota Vikings, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the New York Giants. The man rushed for 5,562 yards in th UFL and 8,225 yards in the NFL. 18,168 combined net yards from rushing, receiving, and returning currently ranks him eighth all time. Walker is the only player with 10,000+ yards from scrimmage, 5,000+ return yards, and obtaining 4,000+ yards from three different ways. (Rushing, Receiving, and Kickoff Returning.) Also, he is the only player in NFL's history to have a return for 90+ yards for a TD, 90+ yard run for a TD, and 90+ yard reception for a TD all in the same season. (1994) Walker holds another record for a 84+ yard TD run and a 84+ yard TD reception in the same game. (1986) In 1989, he was involved in what is known as, simply, "The Trade"; considered the greatest trade ever made. The Minnesota Vikings traded with the Dallas Cowboys to receive Herschel Walker in exchange for a total of 5 players and 6 draft picks. In 1999, he was selected in Sports Illustrated's NCAA Football All-Century Team. ESPN viewers selected Herschel as the thrid best player in College Football history. Besides his Football Resume, which there is still a little more I could add, he competed in the 1992 Winter Olympics in the two-man bobsled, won back to back American Superstar Competitions in 1987 and 1988, competed in Joes vs Pros, and currently owns a Food Service Company. Is there anything left he can add?

The Answer is Yes!

Herschel Walker has decided to sign with Strikeforce for a MMA career. OK. I know you have questions and doubts. After all, the man is 47 years old. But, let me see if I can change them for you. One thing I, purposely, left off of the resume is that he currently holds a sixth degree black belt in tae kwon do. The man does not need to learn how to throw a punch or take another down for a good old fashion ground and pound. He is more than capable of doing so. Herschel is also going to take up Kick Boxing to polish off the skills he does have in San Diego, CA. Ok, so the man knows to toss another man around the ring. "Is he in shape?", you say. Herschel is so in shape that he has his own workout named after him. "The Herschel Walker Workout." This workout entails 2,000 push-ups, 3,000 sit-ups, 1,500 pull-ups, and 1,000 dips daily! Herschel, himself, does 1,500 push-ups and 2,500 sit-ups every single morning! And, get this. Herschel still gets in some MMA practice and training time daily for a total of 6 hours between workout and training! Mind you, he has to run a company also. Personally, I cannot wait to see him fight. I know for a fact that he will look great, especially for a Heavyweight contender. Dana White, President of the UFC, will keep an eye on this guy. I know he will say that he will not, but, trust me, for this kind of publicity, it would be stupid not to.
