So, just who are these cute little guys anyway? These adorable little creatures are Hoops and YoYo, created by greeting card designers at Hallmark Cards. I first discovered Hoops and YoYo quite by accident. I used to sponsor a Marine, so one day I was in the Hallmark store looking for a funny Halloween card for him. I picked up a plastic drink cup on the shelf. It had Hoops and YoYo on it and a button that said 'Press'. So I pressed the button and was greeted by a very funny recording of Hoops and YoYo bantering back and forth about how refreshing whatever it was in that drink cup was. So I bought the cup and went home and started looking for more Hoops and YoYo stuff on the internet.

It's a Hoops and YoYo Halloween!

Hoops and YoYo will get down, no matter how scared they are. They have just too much manic energy and fun personalities to let anything throw them off their chi for too long.

One Halloween night, Hoops and YoYo found themselves wandering in the local cemetery after taking a wrong turn trick-or-treating.

They encountered all sorts of strange and scary-looking characters, including a scary wolf and a skeleton. But did they let that stop them?

No. Instead they got funky with them, dancing up a storm!

So how did Hoops and YoYo get started?

Hoops (a pink cat) and YoYo (a green rabbit) first appeared on the scene in 2005, when they made a Christmas CD. It wasn't long before they started putting greeting cards on the shelves, and soon they grew so popular that, according to Hallmark, one out of every THREE cards sold is a Hoops and YoYo card. Last year they began appearing in other stores besides Haallmark shops, like Target and WalMart, and even neighborhood drug and grocery stores.

Hoops and YoYo have an assortment of supporting characters, like a little brown bear (Chilly Bear), or a scary marshmallow named Marshy, but the one who appears the most is their little friend Piddles, a tiny blue mouse who laughs at all of their jokes and appears in many of their e-cards and videos.

So what makes Hoops and YoYo so irresistible?

Hoops and YoYo are irresistible because no matter what, they will always bring a smile or laugh, or at least a chuckle when you run into them. You can't help but be enthralled with their cute little voices, funny philosophies on life, their propensity to drink too much coffee and get the coffee jitters, and their overwhelming need for donuts.

They also like to explore strange and unusual places, and camp out and scare each other by making up stories about crazed marshmallows on the loose. And when they are trapped at the office, they amuse each other by creating special holidays like Sarcastic Wednesday, in which they trade sarcasm to break the monotony.

When I first saw Hoops and YoYo, it was a case of love at first sight — I think it will be for you too.
