Hide or Cloak Affiliate Link

What's up everyone?

So I have been running through some scenarios with my affiliate Web Pages wondering why I wasn't receiving any sales.  One of my Web Sites has a huge amount of traffic, I'm talking 200 people a day.  With 200 people a day I thought I had something going, but I didn't.  Not one sale for a whole week and I was getting really frustrated.  I decided to do some research and found some information on cloaking or hiding my affiliate links.

Here's What I found....

-Well after the first day of doing it, my sales had jumped.  Why? I think it is because they didn't see that ugly URL links saying "clickbank".  People want to see what site they are going to, not some drawn out weird link that looks like spam.

- Google does not like cloaking links BUT... If it is inside your Web site it will not be as big of a factor.  Google does not want to rank a site with a cloaked link.  For example...

My site -  dumdum.com (as long as this is not cloaked, it will be O.K by google and it will get indexed in the search results)

My site with an affiliate cloak URL - within my dumdum.com I decided to cloak one of my links to an page that I am an affiliate with. This is O.K, as long as your main URL(dumdum.com) is not cloaked.

Get my Drift.

Overall, If you are worried about people stealing your affiliate links or just need an easy way to disguise that disgusting link, the program Stealth Links Pro is your best bet.

Cloaking Affiliate Links!

Why Hide A Affiliate URL?

There are many reasons why you should be cloaking or hiding your affiliate URL.  Here are just some of the reasons why I do it.

1. No one.... I mean no one will steal my sales (this requires an additional domain name)

2. I really don't want to get my stuff stolen. So by cloaking my affiliate ID, I have a greater chance that it won't

3. People like to see neat and clean URL links.  I see the tinyurl all the time and I never click on it, I have no idea where it is going to take me. Maybe some dirty magazine site... I don't know.

4. It hides my actual ID name so people cannot research and find what other products I am trying to sell. (trust me.. people do this..) For example, how many of you are going to look at my other hubs to see what other products I have done review on... Most of you!!

Overall, I try to cloak my links as much as I can and I do it with the techniques of Stealth Links Pro.  I do not do it in my hub pages, but for all of my Web sites, it is a must!

Seriously - Build A Web Site

Once you have the basics of cloaking and hiding your affiliate links in hubpages, articles, etc, you should think about picking up a Web site design software. Dreamweaver is the top of the line and I use it everyday.  If you cannot afford this, you can go to sites such as Xsitepro that is cheaper and more affordable.

Overall, get those affiliate links cloaked, starting building some Web sites, and start making some money baby!!

Cheers,

John T Thomas!!
