CG is basically the art of using technology for creative visual effects. Those effects include such things as imaginative art and expressive statements of light and colour in ways that could never be achieved by the traditional media of paint and canvas.

CG art is uniquely of the modern computer age and as such it is still in it's infancy...growing and learning what works and what doesn't work--and finding through the worldwide audience that the Internet brings--speedy feedback and helpful criticism of it's efforts.

CG is here to stay and we are lucky to watch it grow and mature into what will surely be a significant art form.
