The Hinckley Picnic Boat is one of the most elegant luxury motor boats, a true yachtman's yacht. If you need to inquire about the price you may not be able to afford one. Hinckley has been the finest luxury motor and sailing yacht builder in the United States since it was founded in 1928 in Southwest Harbor, Maine.

The standard powerplant is a 350 HP Yanmar diesel which powers a Hamilton 292 propellerless jet drive which permits the exploration of shallow coves and island beaches by virtue of the boat's 18-inch draft. The jet drive also permits the boat to be spun on its own axis.

The above photos were taken during the Bayview Yacht Club North Channel race on Lake St. Clair, October 3, 2009..

The Old Club would be a good place to park your Hinckley Picnic Boat.

Looks like an elegant ride. Makes me lonesome for a lake or any body of water that is not a reservoir!

So nice the atmosphere, the sweet boat, the double rainbow -relaxing with friends. Good for you! Boats being so not the thing to buy right now unless you're sitting on some extra $ and need to get a quick tax write-off somehow. Know how that's done? I'd love to read a hub on how all us buzzillionaires can write off to avoid the buzzillionnaire penalties. Thanks alot.
