Beauty for my Ashes
I am writing a very brief hub on the music I have been given that I would love to share with you all and hope you find the time to listen to it either in part or all of it.
I have been told many things about it, that it is hauntingly beautiful, it takes you to another realm, it is deep, unique, healing and mysteriously soothing to the soul.
I started hearing it when I was 40 and these are my first compositions, people have said it was worth the wait.
The pieces were posted on a web site 3 months ago that has 300 groups in this genre in Southern California right now and it started at the bottom like everyone else. I did nothing to promote it, I just put it out there and it is now ranked at 27 (top 9%) as of August 1st, 2009. The site has 7,117 groups in this genre worldwide and it is ranked 372 (top 5%) without being promoted in any way.
I simply hear it and "get out of the way" to just record it on a recorder as it happens. I receive everything all at once. The melody, tempo, time signature, key, rhythm, lyrics etc. Then I take it to my pianist and he transcribes it note for note. He thinks I fell out of the sky!!! Because I have never been to any music school and yet he says not to bother, “it will ruin this gift you have.”
I know nothing of musical theory or musical composing.
The pianist you will hear hails from
Southern California and has been playing for 40 years and holds a
Masters Degree in Music from a California University. His name is Mr. Michael LeVan.
I take no credit for this music, because how could I? Like I say, I just hear it and get out of it's way.

It still stuns me too because when I hear it over and over and over again I am struck by The Presence inside just as I was when I first received it in my spirit and got out of the way to write it.
I cannot say to anyone "hey!!! listen to that, that is me!!!"
I think the gift would vanish if I did. :-)
