History You Won't Find In The School Textbooks

With the information age has come a wave of people all over the world making connections, sharing information they've each found and if you think of all scattered historical documents and researched information as pieces of a giant puzzle, you'll find that all these connections of bits and pieces are fitting together perfectly and create a much truer record of history than we can find anywhere in textbooks that were studied by most of us while in school.

Fascinating information in these videos that Adrian Gilbert has gleaned from years of personal research and connecting with others who offer other pieces of the puzzle. Seems Historians, like those many moons ago who decided which ancient texts would and wouldn't be included in the printed Bibles, were not as open minded as people are today and simply discounted a whole lot of historical documents they ran across as being just the opinions of one person or got the 'no way', that couldn't be true feeling, and failed to delve deeper to find other accounts saying the same thing.

Just one example, and there are thousands, was that I believed Christopher Columbus discovered America, then someone challenged that and said no he didn't.

Now I hear that the world itself is growing and that there were Europeans here and people from other countries long before Columbus was even born.

There are actually accounts of meeting Native Americans who spoke the Welsh language.

How much is indisputable truth? Seems a lot of it when you examine where people are getting their facts.

Some of course is then their personal view of what it all really means as far as our future and the future of the Earth itself.

However, it's fascinating information, more than worth hearing and thinking about, to then form your own views.

"Adrian Gilbert attended St Edmunds College, one of the oldest post-reformation, Catholic boarding schools in Britain. He then attended the University of Kent at Canterbury for an Honours degree in Chemistry. Once there he very quickly realized that, philosophically speaking, modern science is founded on quicksand. This only sharpened his appetite for the ultimate knowledge: to know who we are, where we come from and what is our purpose in life.

In quest of the answers to these burning questions, he became more and more interested in philosophy and eastern religions. Following a profound mystical experience, he lost what little interest he still had in Natural Science. His life is now totally focused on finding practical techniques for self-transformation. In 1992 Adrian met up with Robert Bauval and together they wrote what was to become an international best seller: "The Orion Mystery." This was followed by "The Mayan Prophecies," "Magi,² "The Holy Kingdom," and, most recently "Signs in the Sky."

Gilbert delved into Mayan prophecies, Stargates and cosmic cycles. He noted that Mayan monuments often had dates on them that reference either the far past or the distant future, which led him to believe that they were cognizant of longer cycles that the Earth passes through.

Indeed, the end of the Mayan calendar in December 2012 corresponds with the complex astronomical cycle of "procession," Gilbert said, and he theorized that they may have gained knowledge of this through their shamanistic practices. The date in 2012 signifies the end of an "age," which the Mayans believed typically came with a cataclysm. Gilbert suggested that such a time could be "a graduation day for the human race." While there likely would be a calamity, "if you believe, you're spirit-it's just a transformation," he proffered.

Gilbert also spoke about the notion of "stargates," which he associates with two points in the sky, one "over the hand of Orion" and the other "over the sting of Scorpio...in the center of our galaxy." In the year 2000 he took a group of people to Egypt to witness the "opening" of one of the stargates, which marked a time frame he associates with the beginning of the Tribulation as written about in the Book of Revelations."
