Quick, Cheap and Easy!

This is a great side dish for any meat or poultry main course. And its quick, cheap and easy! Ingredients as follows:

1 small to medium size head of cabbage

2 to 4 slices of bacon

4 teaspoons butter or margarine

Salt and pepper or spices you prefer

Tin foil or covered pan

Preheat oven to 400

Take your head of cabbage and slice it in half. Then take the halves and slice them into quarters. If ya want smaller portions, slice those quarters in half for eight pieces. Spread some butter or margarine on top of the quarters. Sprinkle some salt, pepper and any other spices that you like on top of the quarters. Add spices liberally. Take your slices of bacon and cut them in half and lay them diagonally across the quarters. Then take some tin foil and tear into 1 foot squares (depending on the size of the quarters or eighths) Place cabbage quarters in center of tin foil square and fold corners up around the top of cabbage (this makes it easy to reopen foil to check on progress, handle and serve) or place all cabbage quarters in covered pan large enough to hold entire cabbage. Place in oven at 400 for 30 minutes, serve and enjoy!
