One of my favorite holiday spots is Algarve. Weather may range from 25ºC to 35ºC, from June til September, although in June and September the temperatures will be at the lower end.

Currency is Euro, most signs and stores have everything written in Portuguese and English, lots of English pubs, German restaurants and Spanish ones too. Basically a tourist spot that you can easily get around.

Airports in Algarve, only one Faro (several low cost companies have flights in and out every day), it's about a 2 and a half drive from Lisbon.

Places to stay, by the sea side you have several beaches, however a car rental is advisable to help you get around, as their is plenty to see and visit. By renting a car you can actually visit the whole coast, as It's not a far way from one side to another, just over 100 km with a freeway all across. Speed limit on freeway is 120 km/hr, on secondary roads is 90, if not marked otherwise, and in local areas it's 60 or less if signalled. People visiting normally are afraid to drive, don't be afraid go for it, in the rotundas, slow down be careful and everything will be just fine.

If you have little children you should think of an apart hotel, very practical and affordable, also their are plenty hotels available. Places you should visit or stay Vilamoura, Albufeira, Lagos, Armação de Pêra, Tavira.

The most famous turist spot is Vilamoura, very modern and organized town, has a golf course, a marina that you should not miss, and lovely beaches.

Albufeira is another town relatively close to Vilamoura, and surrounded by beautiful beaches.

Also, in Albufeira their is a small theme park Zoomarine, good for a day of fun, don't forget the swim suite. Enjoy wonderful and unforgettable moments in a marine environment.

During summer holidays their is always things to do, concerts, exhibits, futball games, public attractions... ohhh and bars and drinks and discoteca.

The night life is also very active, you can find and meet people from all over Europe and the world, nightlife is very affordable.
