Saint Patrick's Day

Saint Patrick's Day, or St Paddy's Day as some like to call it, falls on March 17th each year. Saint Patrick's Day is an annual feasting day which celebrates Saint Patricks, one of the aptron saints of Ireland and is a national holiday in Ireland.

Saint Patrick's Day is celebrated worldwide by Irish people and has become increasingly popular by non-Irish people who brand themselves "Irish for a day". Most people think of Saint Patrick's Day when they are thinking about holidays in March. Celebrations are generally themed around all things Irish and the color green and the drinking of Irish beverages such as Guinness, Harp, Irish Whiskey, Irish Coffe, or Baileys Irish Cream.

As well as being a celebration of Irish culture, Saint Patrick's Day is a Christian festival celebrated in the Catholic Church.
