Gozo Yoga Retreat

Last January I was in Malta - an amazing place - I really enjoyed my stay.

The funny thing was, that before I went my friends asked me: What is there to do in Malta, isn't it just a small island with lot of rocks?

Well yes, there are lots of rocks, when that said the island is full of possibilities. Like safaris, cruises, temple tours, swim with dolphins not to mention Pirates of the Mediterranean Cruise.

When I returned I realized that there are yoga retreats on the Gozo (Gozo being one of the 3 inhabited islands of Greater Malta).

Gozo is also one of the few islands in the Mediterranean which remains unspoiled.

The yoga retreat trip is one week with twice daily yoga excercises. At the retreat fresh food is served every day. The weather is quite hot in the summer months but the retreat is build in Maltese style in limestone, which keeps them cool. There's even a swimming pool.

When not being in the yoga retreat you can take a walking tour, go for a scuba dive in the crystal clear waters or visit a 5,000 BC old temple. There is a range on world hetitage historical sites and several pituresque fishing villages.

I am sure this must be one of the best kept secrets in the mediterranean and I have planned a yoga retreat trip this November - I can hardly wait to go there.
