Angelina Jolie was born on June 4, 1975 in Los Angeles, California. She is an American film actor and an international success. She started off with troubled beginnnings and insecurities battling her own inner demons, but still had a certain desire to become an actress. Her family relocated frequently and it was hard trying to settle in, but they finally grounded themselves in Los Angeles. She had a desire to pursue her dream of acting so she enrolled herself in Lees Strasburg Theatre Institute where she trained for two years and appeared in several stage productions. She continued pursuing acting lessons and theatre while in high school. While in high school she began modeling and this led to appearances in music videos. She appeared in videos with Meatloaf, Lenny Kravitz and, The LemonHeads. At the age of 16 she returned to theatre appearing as a German Dominatrix. She appeared in many of her brothers films while he attended the USC School of Cinematic Arts. She then launched her professional movie career in 1993 appearing in the movie Cyborg 2. This lead to many more opportunities in film. She appeared in Hackers, Love is all there, Mojave Moon, and etc. It wasn't until she appeared as Cornelia Wallace in the movie George Wallace that she started recieving attention. She won a Golden Globe for her performance. She began to recieve accolade after accolade for her roles. She achieved international success when she starred as Laura Croft in the movie Laura Croft Tomb Raider which reached a much broader audience. She has worked with some of Hollywood's elite actors Denzel Washington, Nicholas Cage, and Antonio Banderas. She continues to appear in headline after headline.
